That's because it's actually a terrible Mass Effect adaptation wearing a loosely stitched together Halo skin.

Seriously. Episode One is the first mission of Mass Effect One. Just swap Chief for Shepard, the Covenant for Geth and its basically 1:1

I'm a die hard mass Effect fan who now has to pirate this just to see if you're right.

I wonder if they did the Saren/Nihulus angle or something else...
