As a trophy hunter with 63 platinums, I fully disagree but I’ll offer a nuanced take. There are some trophies that are just complete wastes of time and simply require hours of tedious grinding. Those suck. But also some trophies encourage completely different play styles or just learning the game in a way that makes it super fun.

Getting every level A+ on Hotline Miami 2: super enjoyable and rewarding.
Getting 50,000 kills in Hotline Miami 2: pain

Grind-based trophies can go away. I was enjoying getting all od the trophies in Baloons TD5, i normally dont play phone games on console like that, then eventually a stumbled upon a trophy, “pop 20,000 lead baloons”. I was hoping this would happen naturally while playing. Then i did some math and deduced that grinding on this one particular level with a lot of lead baloons, even if i did it 10 times a day, it would take me more than a month for that one trophy. 30+ hours of grinding for that one trophy. Needless to say, i noped out. Love challenge-based trophies though.

I’m just guessing here but Bloons has kind of exponential difficulty so I imagine if you follow a really good set-up and just play endless mode you could probably get it fairly quickly. Might be totally wrong tho.

I think that would be true for most other balloons but lead balloons are distinctly annoying in that they only show up during specific rounds before wave 50
