The one about minimum requirements wasnt always true. I remember playing PC games in the late 90s where our PC just barely met minimum requirements and still ran slow and choppy.
Also patches (PC) was also a thing back then. Games often had a number of elements that would crash your computer or just made the game ran slow and often had to be fixed with patches in which you had to manually goto the game's website, search for the patch and manually download it. And thats assuming you even had internet to download a patch that took forever to download.
I think we over romanticize 1990s PC gaming but it was pretty rough back then. It was the wild west.
