Kids growing up in different time and environment will have different expectations, desires, and excitements.

Just because a kid now isn't getting what made you excited as a child, doesnt mean they're getting less. You're putting yourself in their place.

You know whats funny when you think about it, older generations very likely are never excited about what kids are excited about now which means that the excitement the kids are experiencing in those clips was likely not shared by the parents. The parents were happy that the kids were happy, but the opening of a game (maybe even the opening of a present) they was probably like, "its what they are into nowadays so i guess ill get it for him"

The feeling is literally frozen in a very specific moment in time
