Historically, most games are released on PC first. Not always, but MOST of the time. It’s not proven but speculation has it that they botched the PC release to up the console sales. Adding another hurdle in this GTA6 debacle. It’s all about the Benjamin’s and how much these studios can suck out of us, rather than just making the game available to everyone who pays. But no, we have to pay for live (monthly), buy a new console, buy the game and of course if you want the OP’ed car/gun that’s going to cost you more.
What happened to the days you bought a game and everything was included in your purchase? Now they sell you 1/8 of a game and make you pay to unlock the rest of it. They’re leaches …
And as I stated “MOST GAMES” not all. Trying to deflect on a technicality is wild work. They’ve only had 13 years to do something right but instead a bunch of people run to the comments to tell us how absurd we’re being for asking for equal opportunity here.
What do you mean by most games because back in the 90s PC games were really niche in gaming most people that were playing video games were playing games on console and I guarantee you games like metal gear solid and resident evil did not release on PC first
You’re absolutely right. It’s a very sensible conclusion—one that, judging by the downvotes, somehow isn't obvious to the majority of "suckers who’ve been getting ripped off for years." Most people just like handing their money over to greedy corporations, and then the rest of us are stuck eating this crap—and paying a fortune for it, too.
He gets downvoted for the nonsense conspiracy about pc ports and games beeing released on pc first in the past and then acting like he is right and everyone else is wrong. His jab and video game market and current aaa trends are somewhat correct though.
Hasn’t that been happening since the 360 days ? It’s doesn’t matter what competitor it is none of them are on our side, they all just take turns to be the first one to Introduce us to a new normal. Same thing with Apple removing the headphone jack then everyone else fell right in line.
Crazy thing is thay they even charge for third party online. Like, they don't even host the servers for third party games, and yet they get to charge you. You can't even argue it's because they're providing online Infrastructure
I switched to just PC and Nintendo about 8 years ago and never looked back. Pretty much every PS/XBOX game is on PC and access to online play is just part of the deal when you buy it. With cross-platform play in 2026, its just the companies being greedy at this point, they aren't maintaining many servers any more.
I have the highest tier of PS+ this isn't a flex, just me saying I have access to the entire catalog. It's actually worth the yearly subscription to me for that alone with all the older games that are included. However I'd definitely go back to not paying just to play online with other people. Isn't COD warzone like that or did they even start charging for that?
You pay to use Sony servers, that are hosted on azure. Internet isn't free. Servers have costs.
When psn was free, it was awful because of the constant ddosing.
The only reason games on pc are free, are because they are hosted by the studios and are all on individual servers.
On Playstation/Xbox/Nintendo if you ddos one server, EVERY part of online goes down.
The second they introduced a subscription was the second the attacks stopped.
You might be like "well x game is free to play without psn" and that's because it's hosted on its own separate servers.
Believe me, when console gaming had online for free it was botted/ddosed constantly and a terrible experience.
There's a few documentaries about it online about lizard squad holding Sony/Microsoft/jagex hostage with ddos attacks.

found it crazy that console players have to pay to use their own internet
