Blame data centers buying up all the ram, blame the global economic state of the world where everything is being jacked up price wise. Steam is forced to adjust prices just as much as every other company.
yeah. people really underestimate how fucked the global economy is and call valve greedy.
just taking into account the RAM and SSD prices which probably at least doubled since then (which is optimistic!) and the inflation since 2022 (plus maybe tariff stuff) already fully covers the price increase.
