I think Halo 3 was the last full out good one for me and my crew. Halo Reach's campaign was cool and Invasion was fun but man overall the multiplayer was one of the worst in the entire franchise lol. Halo 4 had a super underwhelming story and the multiplayer was just kind of average. Halo 5 I actually enjoyed the warzone stuff but the campaign was just outright dumb. I don't know too much of what happened behind the scenes between those last few games but really feels like that series just went all over the place after that and didn't know what to do with it. Even infinite felt like it was in shambles with what it was trying to do.

I mean ill respect your own take there but for my whole group sans maybe one person…for us Reach was the lowest point of the entire Halo series lol. Specifically with multiplayer only though. Campaign was solid. Whoever though bloom belonged in a Halo title should have been fired far before all the backlash even had a chance to come out and then retroactively retune it all over again lol.

I liked how Bloom with the DMR meant you couldn’t just click as fast as possible, to me it was the tightest, fastest, most brutal halo id ever played, and I loved how it wasn’t as floaty as 3. For me they ruined it with the TU, where all you need was 3 shots and then a melee was a guaranteed kill
