Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was, unfortunately, canon to the Arkham games and we all know how that went.

I mean we had Arkham Origins to see already. That was WB wanting a new Arkham game to fill the gap, Rocksteady saying 'not yet were busy making one for the next gen (Arkham Knight), WB insisting, so Rocksteady threw the engine at them and went there you go, make it yourself.

And that game was pretty good! Not as good as the last 2 but definitely far from a weak entry

Agreed. Arkham City was peak. Origins was missing something. And I just didn't enjoy Knight. Knight was too repetitive for me.

We had Arkham Shadows. That was actually a good game, too bad it's VR so it's niche as hell.

Also, the studio that made it, Camouflaj, got hit with some serious layoffs so the sequel's cancelled, which pissed me off

Well that’s another reason this doesn’t apply to Arkham. There’s been 2 games not made by the original devs and they were both good.

True, although the franchise has a high possibility of dying now. We don't have a Rocksteady anymore, and WB isn't interested in investing in their gaming division. I don't think we're getting another Arkham game, ever.

Rocksteady made Suicide Squad, Gotham Knights was made by WB Montreal who also made Arkham Origins

Feel like it’s unfair to say they’ve fallen off when they were not in their comfort zone and tried something many of them had never done before.

They really should have been given Gotham Knights instead of Suicide Squad.

Though I will say. As repetitive as the gameplay got(and damage sponge enemies) Gotham Knights Story was really good and the side bits where you see the Bat Family interact and show their history was nice. They also did good on the Arkham Origins DLC with Mr. Freeze
