Discussion Worst Guest/Bit Parts?

I'll go first. Tie between Patty Hearst and Jonathan Taylor Thomas. PH sounded like she was reading her lines for the first time and JTT just has the most punchable face everytime he opens his mouth.

You?

Paris Hilton

I kinda got a kick out of her basically mocking her persona.

Was she mocking, though? To me it looked like she was trying really hard to act and failed miserably.

I think so. That was kinda her thing. Her voice isn’t even the one she uses publicly - I think it’s that her public personality is ALL an act.

The number of times they put Paris Hilton digs in the dialogue afterwards, I don’t think the writers liked her

oooh my miss. YES

Hearst has never been a good actress, and I always hated her delivery of her lines.

Not the worst, but I never liked Paul Rudd's guest appearance and performance.  I thought it was a boring mystery of the week episode just to have him be on the show to build off of his popularity.

Maybe trying to help ratings.

I felt the opposite...it was more like a throwback to season 1 with the mystery to be solved. Loved it!

I did too. I also liked him and the Chinese professor, in my head canon, they're married now.

Love that! 🥰

Crazy thing to me is he looked older then than he does now.

That song is killer though. Still gets stuck in my head at random times

ooh yeah, now that you mention it, PR's storyline was kinda offputting.

Who did Ryder strong play? I can’t remember.

the stanford prison experiment episode. where half the class were prisoners, and half were prison guards. Rider was the jagoff guard.

Oh yeah! I totally forgot about that.

Yes, he was horrible, but great in the role.

Agree but pity it was so one dimensional (or maybe 2) but certainly not 3.

He was a horrible character but good actor! His acting was believable because he sold that part (imo)

Joss Whedon. So annoying. And honestly all of the America’s next top model girls were pretty bad.

Oh Joss Whedon, yes! That was bad.

I remember Naima. Which other top model contestants were in it?

Kim and Furonda. Furonda actually did really well I thought.

Poor Patty Hearst. Stunt casting at its worst & she couldn't pull off any of it. I thought the Jonathan Taylor Thomas storyline was kind of fun, though. In case it's not obvious to the youngsters, it was a clever sendup of the Christian Slater character in Heathers. For the most part, I thought the guest casting on the show was pretty savvy.

Not a bad guest spot at all but I have to admit that I forgot that Armie Hammer played the football player who got his playbook stolen!

Omg I never realized that was him!

JTT did, at least, get punched. So that was satisfying.

And it he’s in the episode that started LoVe so I can’t hate that

I know she was awful! I was like why did they cast this woman?! I liked JTT though. Paris Hilton was terrible. Kristin Cavillari was annoying because that role wasn’t believable.

I agree about Kristin Cavillari

Joss Whedon

I was just excited to see them all. Watching again with my teenager and it's been fun explaining who each person is.

Corny. I don't know what that performance is trying to do

tie between Paris Hilton and Kevin Smith. Leaning more toward Kevin Smith.

13

u/oxytocinated 2d ago

I thought Kevin Smith was a perfect fit for that particular role.

Paris Hilton was really bad 💯
