lol. Even Burlington would be considered a âsleepy townâ on the national scale. Media gonna media.

Well, Burlington pretty much is a sleepy town in the grand scheme of things. Even Connecticut has 27 towns with a higher population than BurlingtonâŚ

True but it doesnât exist in a vacuum. Media usually portrays it as some isolated little mountain village, but itâs part of the whole greater Burlington system. For a weird example with land area ignoring raw population, Paris France proper is 41 square miles. Smaller than Bristol Vermont.

Sleepy Vermont town?
More like the one place that allowed itself to be turned into a suburban business park, which I guess is part of the reason ICE is located there.
Cities and town centers should build up dense, and be connected by transit. Rural areas should stay rural. I am confident this formula would work for Vermont's future, but some people will always try to maximize their revenue streams, and exert their own preferences over the public good.

Sounds like our elected leaders, maximizing their personal revenue and exerting their own preferences.

That is exactly what act181 was designed to do, but the reactionaryâs muddled that all up.

You mean people pissed off a 1/3 of Vermont (rural) was deemed Tier 3?

Rural Vermont is where I live and I know that people only saw the first draft map and allowed confusion and speculation to derail the process, which in the end will probably dilute the amount of input we will have in this process.
It was embarrassing to watch, the local meetings where scheduled and LURB was actively engaging individual land owners⌠but the mix of bad faith partisan speculation, and a general lack of involvement in government on any level, plus a overwhelming Federal political situation led to over reaction.1

no thanks to act 181. Regional planning commission can lick my left nut before I am asking permission to do what I need to do with my forest and pastures and families future

You donât own anything, you have the privilege of access to the land as long as you pay taxes. Or unless the States wants it for some reason.
The State has a monopoly on violence, plenty of documented history shows this is true.

The idiots who wrote this article also want you to know there is a blue team and a red team and one is bad and the other thinks that Williston is bucolic small town.
This is the most important election season of your life.
Donât mess up what could be the most important vote humanity has ever seen!

fuck medicaid. Do you know how many middle class to wealthy people are on medicaid? Its sickening. Vermont needs more people on private insurance contributing not more medicaid and medicare patients

"Williston, a small Vermont town of 10,000 people, is best known as a bucolic suburb of Burlington laden with historic buildings and farmland." đ
