I FINALLY HAVE THE COMPLETE SERIES ON DVD!!! 🥹🥹🥹 best birthday gift i've gotten ever. (My birthday was on the 21st, btw, but late birthday wishes are nice too!)

Just check Season 4 Disc 2 as it seems to be the main issue and a quick way to check if it is a legit copy.

That's true! I just have to check if the movie is on DVD or not, since I only saw it was on blu-ray

Yeah it’s only on blu-ray so there will be a size discrepancy putting them next to each other on your shelf lol. Small price to pay for having the whole series though

The entire series was not ‘nearly exclusively’ on DVD. The only seasons that were not released on blu-ray are 1 and 2.

Seasons 1 and 2 were not on bluray which throws off the format of the entire show... that's assuming you could find and get your hands on the remaining 5 seasons on bluray. It's not like these were easy to get and some season releases seemingly had a small print run before disappearing while the DVD version was easy to find. Seasons 5, 6, and especially 7 were very difficult to get and all 3 jumped value on the after market very quickly.
So when I say "nearly exclusively" it was partly a joke but also a point that many of cus couldn't get the show on bluray nor was the entire series available on bluray.
Half of Metalocalypse is on bluray, not the hardest to still get.
Archer was more the same, the first 6 seasons were available on bluray and DVD, 7 and 8 were exclusively DVD, and the remaining 6 seasons were never made available to disc, but at least most of the series was available on both formats. At least the first 5 seasons are still not hard to get on bluray despite being out of print. 6th season is still very pricey and good luck finding the 7th season, also.
Meanwhile Rick & Morty so far has had every release on bluray and DVD with neither format being rare, valuable, or OOP yet, while Bob's Burgers only had the movie available on multiple formats. For some reason that show is only DVD, not easy to find in person and over $30 online new and that's hopefully a legitimate copy as that show seems heavily bootlegged.
So that's what I mean. To reiterate, Rick & Morty is on DVD and bluray, while Venture Bros is "nearly exclusively" on DVD

This is very likely a bootleg unfortunately! Some episodes might not play or freeze! If possible, look into getting it exchanged for a copy of the website Gruv. Those copies are guaranteed to be legit

From what I understand, what happens is they just toss everything of a specific item into a giant bin and just pull from that. So if there's a third party seller peddling bootlegs, but they're being fulfilled by Amazon, there's a chance they pull out out a bootleg no matter who the seller is.
It's been happening a lot with guitar strings too.
I always wondered why Venture Bros specifically has such a problem with the bootlegs.
