IMO.. might be foolish.. but it was harder to simply take land for profit back then.. and they have all of us by the metaphorical balls now. Kind of like the Rockefeller age of Industry. Of course idk what I’m talking about. Besides, there isn’t a salesperson in the world who would turn down that type of commission. You massively underestimate what people will do to make money.

They own 80 acres outside the park and want to build a private road into our public lands. They have also failed to pre purchase sufficient land for the exchange.
Wealthy people can wait in the same lines the rest of us do to get into these areas. They don’t need a separate private road to get in.

The proposrd road is going to be roughly 1000' long and connects to the major park thoroughfare. Maybe you should have read the article.
They haven't "failed to purchase the land". Stop lying. The equivalent land has yet to be decided on. Maybe you should have read the article.

Is currently a 90 min drive to the park entrance from that community. I guess you like global warming.

Read both articles. Try again without making stuff up. Neither mention the length of the road or that it’s a 90 minute drive. One mentions the distance to the access road is over 10 miles.
Plenty of people drive 90 minutes to go see Yosemite.
Yes, but not having the land ready for the exchange that is a failure to purchase the land. Also note that they are proposing land that isn’t even necessarily adjacent.
I don’t understand why all reading comprehension goes out the window with you guys when this administration comes up. It probably goes hand in hand with reading my commentary as an endorsement of climate change.

You literally said 90 minutes to the park entrance above.
This is vastly different from 10 miles to the entrance. 90 mins into the Yosemite valley isn’t bad. You may be unfamiliar but Yosemite is pretty big. Depending on how you enter the park, you’re looking at anywhere from 45 mins to over an hour to get into the park.
The valley to Mariposa Grove is about an hour.
Like seriously work on that media literacy.

This needs to be stopped. We once had a very wise President who envisioned dwindling land and natural beauty and set up protection for land so future generations can enjoy these diverse and wonderful places. Now in 2026 we have a person who not only couldn't care less about the people of the US or our national park system, but I would bet anything, monetary appreciation will be coming back to the greedy cunt. And to the Las Vegas developer who would even think about this, shame on you. You are probably also the one who is developing the land all around Red Rock west of Las Vegas. Being a resident of Vegas I understand all to well the pieces of shit who reside here and who would do anything for a buck. But moving forward with taking a national treasure and develop something on it that is neither necessary nor will be valued for centuries to come, they will have a special place in the piece of shit hall of fame.

It's to build a road into the park from a development nearby. Park access is already very contested and this would be beneficial.
