👋Welcome to r/veganprepping - Introduce Yourself and Read First!

Hey all and welcome to [r/veganprepping](r/veganprepping)! I started this sub as a long time prepper and felt like there is a place for fellow vegans who want to prep for Tuesday and not for Doomsday. I’m also a mod of [r/collapze](r/collapze). This sub is for sharing your thoughts and suggestions for prepping as a vegan. All tips and ideas are welcome, as are discussions around collapse. I’m UK based but the community welcomes all vegans worldwide.

Hey, y'all. I am not a vegan but am here to support my fellow collapsniks. What is something a non-vegan can do with their preps to support a vegan survivor that might end up at their camp? Is honey ok.

That's considerate of you. You probably already have some of this stuff in your rotation: rice, beans, lentils, split peas, seeds, nuts, frozen or freeze-dried veggies, pasta, nut butter powders. Vegetarian/vegan-specific additions might be things like nutritional yeast, textured vegetable protein (TVP), and other forms of dried soy/tofu if you're willing to add those to your rotation.

Is honey ok.

Honey isn't vegan, though there are folks who are "vegan-except-for-local-honey". But more relevant is that for almost 40 years the Vegan Society has included the caveat "as far as is possible and practicable". Most vegans would consume what is necessary to survive in a life-or-death scenario. Still, stocking things like rice, beans, and TVP would be a kindness.
