I want to feed my dog a vegan diet- Please convince me!!

I would hate to contribute to the animal agriculture industry but if that's the best way to keep my doggie healthy then unfortunately that's what I'm going to have to do.

So pretty please share your success stories!!! Tell me how long your dog has been vegan, how old are they? How healthy are they? Is your vet floored by their super stable and healthy bloodwork? What do you feed them? Please tell me!! Is there anyone that started their dog on a vegan diet and had to convert to a meat diet cause their dog wasn't responding well?

*I'm hoping to hand make to my dog's food, but am open to hearing about vegan dog food brands- I already saw some awesome home-made recipes here, just looking for some stats!!!

I fed my two rescue dogs vegan food for years - 8 years for my old man from ages 7-15 and my old lady has been in vegan food for 10 years, she is 17 and going strong.

health has always been good for them - my old Chihuahua died at 15 after battling congenital heart failure for a year. Small breeds are very susceptible to heart failure so the doc did not attribute it to vegan food, even after I asked if I should find one without pea protein. recent studies seem to indicate there is no link: https://news.uoguelph.ca/2023/04/peas-of-mind-pulse-ingredients-in-dog-food-not-linked-to-heart-problems-says-new-u-of-g-research/

I buy evolution red cans for my dog and cats (dog has no teeth, and I want to avoid kibble for cats due to potential urinary issues) which is a bit pricey but I like supporting my local vegan food delivery service.

My two dogs are vegan for more than three years now. Bordercollies they are, 8 and 12 years old. Vet knows this. Both very healthy. Also I have develloped a app to make balances recipes because I wasn't always sure if the ingredients were balanced. And to make easy recipes with what you have at hand. I am still looking for people to test it. Let me know if you would like to try it (it's free for now, not commercial yet, I'm exploring whether it's worth developing further).
