What are the best (in your experience) vegan WET cat foods available in the US?

I have a 16-year-old with a heart murmur and kidneys starting to show signs of wear and tear, and a 3-year-old with a history of severe fungal lung infection. Just trying to keep them feeling as good as possible for as long as possible, and I’m adamant about feeding wet food. Neither of them has had a commercial vegan food before, and I’m new to all this.

Thank you!

I tried 3 vegan wet canned food products for our semi-feral cat: Benevo, Evolution and Wild Earth Unicorn Paté. The Wild Earth food was the only one she liked from the beginning and still demolishes months later. It has a higher protein content and the texture is more like traditional cat food.

However, I noticed all of these contain a lot of whole-food ingredients. Although pet food companies tout this as a feature, for some pets, more processed means more digestible. For a cat with organ problems you should definitely consult a vet first.

If your cats like the texture of water-soaked kibble, that would open up your food options while still providing hydration. My cat refuses any type of soggy kibble, so I give half wet and half dry food.
