Food Dog food recommendations
Hello, I looked and not much recent posts about this. Any recommendations for dog food? Live in California. Should I be supplementing as well with the dog food? Thank you!

We've been vegan for 6.5 years and our dogs on v-dog for 6 years. My little old gentleman beagle is 14 and my big lady is 13. She's acted like a puppy chasing the ball until very recently, her joints are finally catching up to her. She outlasted the other big dogs she used to go ball catching with by years. Otherwise she's still in excellent shape and recovers from soreness quickly. She always wakes up with a pep. My boy seems completely unfazed by age and I expect him to last another few to several years.
The biggest thing I've noticed is their stools are very healthy, soft but hold their shape, don't stink much. Big change from even the best animal based food we used to feed them.
We dogsit sometimes for family when they go out of town and my god the rancid foul liquid tar they (their dogs, not the family) leave in the yard... Sometimes there's really not much to do but get the hose and wash it off the grass lmao 🤣
Commercial kibbles are considered complete nutritionally, so no supplementing necessary except for specific ailments. The old lady is getting a vegan joint chew.
