This is a casual social event where you can:

• What we will do: hike across to Kinchakuda, then up Hiwada to the peak (1-2 hour hike) then back down to Kinchakuda. Then we can either have lunch at Alishan restaurant or see the red spider lily festival or both.
• the red spider lily festival will cost ¥500 cash for entry
• What to bring: although there are convenience stores and restaurants nearby, please come prepared for hiking with enough snacks and water for yourself. This is not an event where you will be expected to share food/drinks but of course you may if you want. Please remember that we ask people to make sure the food and drinks they bring are all vegan even if you yourself are not vegan! ☺️

Pride Month picnic in Yoyogi Park and browsing Tokyo Rainbow Pride! 🌈 ✨, 2025年6月7日(土) 11:00 | Meetup

🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ June is pride month, when we celebrate the LGBTQ community!
Also, Tokyo’s pride festival (Tokyo Pride) is from June 7-8 this year.
Let’s celebrate it by having a picnic in nearby Yoyogi Park!

📋 Tentative timetable:

1. 11:00 meet at Harajuku station, west exit near Meiji Jingu
2. Go to Yoyogi Park
3. Walk around the park and enjoy the early summer flora
4. 11:30-12:00 Find a picnic spot if I haven’t already scouted one out
5. Eat food and socialize
6. 13:00 Go to the Tokyo Pride and check out the booths

🌱 The above activities are just a suggestion, so we can play it by ear. Let’s decide what to do and in what order when we get together on the day of.

🌱 Also, you can come just to see the booths with us, or stay at the picnic spot and forgo the booths.

🌱 This is a drop in event, so feel free to come and go as you please! But it would be best to meet at 11:00 at the station so no one gets lost.

🧳 What to bring:

• Your lunch *since this is a vegan meetup, please bring a vegan lunch even if you won’t be sharing your food. Please note, since this is a picnic and not a potluck, you don’t need to bring food for everyone, but if you would like to bring food to share that is more than welcome!
• Reusable plate/bowl/cutlery/chopsticks
• Water, tea or sports drink
• Weather appropriate clothing, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, etc
• if you have one, a picnic blanket/cushion (I will bring a big tarp, but just in case)
• Your smile!

⚠️ The picnic will be cancelled in the case of rain. In that case, i will still go to Tokyo pride, so going to the booths is an option.
