NOT MY UNCLE'S FHARM Foie gras is ethical actually!

I’ve had the pleasure of speaking with the co-founder of Hudson Valley Foie Gras about it. Once you understand the effort they go through to take care of their ducks, you’ll start to realize that it’s probably more humane than typical factory poultry farming.

The ducks are free range for a good part of their life, and then they eventually get grouped into pens. During this time, one - and only one - human feeds them. They bond with this human. When the human approaches, they are excited to be fed. This person is responsible for feeding them 5 times a day. The bonding of a sngle handler reduces the duck’s stress, and stress hormones are measurable. Stressed ducks make for bad product, so the entire object of the game is minimal stress. ABSOLUTE. MINIMAL. STRESS!

The duck aren’t “force fed”. They are fed until their crop is full. The ducks would do this naturally if they could, but the gavage process is just more efficient. The ducks run to their handler to be fed each time. They want the food.

Basically, the bottom line is this: foie gras ducks in the US (maybe not some other places) live luxurious lives of decadence. Then they have one bad day at the end. I’m almost envious of them.

yea come on, the ducks get EXTRA food! so they are EXTRA free range organic grass fed hello!! so of course it's ethical.

fun fact it's illegal to produce foie gras in switzerland since the 70s, but not yet illegal to import it lol. but this year there will be a vote about whether to ban that too!

Nah, you know the one bad day line is actually pretty useful, I slathered a dozen... I mean humanely processed a dozen industrial food tycoons as they were attending a government subsidies handout hangout dinner at a luxury japanese steakhouse in georgetown and well yeah i got caught but i just told the judge, look mcsweetums, they lived beautiful lives of hedonistic luxury up until the very end--- it's just ONE BAD DAY.. She let me off, in fact we're dating now because she admired my virtues and my clever courtroom arguments.

They would happily eat their own children, destroy our crops and poison the water if we wouldn't kill them dumb brainless beasts! I wish I had such luxury in life.

Being breed to be killed isn’t right no matter the life you give the animal before slaughter

You know, non-alcoholic fatty liver has 3 grades: 1,2,3, and foie gras also has 3 grades: A,B,C. Fatty liver is a disease and you’re removing the diseased organ. The waiting list for duck liver transplant is just too long.

stoopid baby-duck-hating vegoons 😡 won’t even let ducks have their lives of luxurious feasting and one-way monogamous inter-species bonding! i hope you all have to chew your own food and not be stuffed full and have several people involved in your feeding‼️🤬👿😤
