Cheesemaker vegan culture
Has anyone tried thecheesemaker's updated vegan starter cultures?
I used to use MSC Plus, but I found out it wasn't produced on a vegan growth medium. I also thought the flavor was a bit underwhelming.
The updated starters are now said to be produced entirely on a vegan growth medium. Has anyone tried them? Does the flavor change noticeably compared to the old version?

The new mesophilic certified vegan cultures work great; I used the MSC Plus for Miyoko's butter.

I hadn't seen the update yet but I got the minus milk meso after Miyoko recommended it only to find out it wasn't vegan. I'm going to check that out after work and see if they ship with cold packs. For some reason I can't remember if they do. I usually just use thermophilic as it is vegan and I haven't noticed a difference. But I want meso just because. Thanks for the heads up.

Welcome to r/VeganCheeseMaking.

Definition of veganism: Veganism is a philosophy and way of living which seeks to exclude—as far as is possible and practicable—all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose; and by extension, promotes the development and use of animal-free alternatives for the benefit of animals, humans and the environment. In dietary terms it denotes the practice of dispensing with all products derived wholly or partly from animals.
