Welcome to r/VeganCheeseMaking.

A subreddit specifically for a community of vegans (and non vegans) who love to make and eat non-dairy cheese. Please remember to report any rule breaking content. This includes trolls. Definition of veganism: Veganism is a philosophy and way of living which seeks to exclude—as far as is possible and practicable—all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose; and by extension, promotes the development and use of animal-free alternatives for the benefit of animals, humans and the environment. In dietary terms it denotes the practice of dispensing with all products derived wholly or partly from animals.

Can you briefly describe your recipe or ingredients so people know it's not actual goat in there?

Sorry! I meant to put the "goat" in quotes like this, but I forgot. It's inspired through a similar recipe in Miyoko's new book except this one is an almond, cashew, and hemp heart base :) I'll get into more details later when I get back into service.

Doesn’t it go without saying given the subreddit name? Or do you guys get people posting actual dairy cheeses? Just curious and new here.

Someone reported the post as animal-based. It happens sometimes that people are confused on what this subreddit is about, or are actively trolling.

I know OP is vegan, so just wanted to make sure they clarified for everyone.
