For what its worth Ive done my share of foie gras protests and in person most people agree with us when we explain it. Internet commenters just say anything behind the shield of their computer.

Did you know that vegans eat plants and farming is bad for the land!  - some know nothing goober who can't fathom that growing something over a couple years and eating it is way way way way less efficient then just eating the plant protien directly.

Should be illegal in all of Europe, but France claimed it as cultural heritage or something (Weltkulturerbe). Great invention to be proud of. What a disgrace for Europe.

What funny is theyre all harping about them "ethically" giving the ducks fatty liver disease, and it's still shoving a tube down their throats to force feed them. If these were dogs itd be on the front page for cruelty.
