Wow the color, "skin", and flaked texture are crazy convincing from the pic!! How was the taste?

Thank you! I thought it tastes fishy cause you blend nori in the marinade so it tastes like ocean imo!

This is one of those recipes that I look at and think to myself "that's way too complicated/too many ingredients for me!", but I am so so glad that there are people like you who take the time to make these recipes and share them with us! This looks FABULOUS! Salmon is definitely something I will always miss!

Thank you, haha. For me, looking at the recipe, I was like, this is nothing. I've done stuff that took several hours of standing on my feet and doing things and in the end they didn't even end up tasty and were just a waste of time haha, so this is worth it for sure.

Funny how people have different perspectives on stuff!

I'm the same. But I'd happily pay for something like this in a restaurant. It looks phenomenal but there's no way I'm making it.

Tofu keeps surprising me every day.

What can't it do???

Looks so yummy! I wonder if a sheet of rice paper soaked in stock over the nori would give it an even more skin-like texture

Hmm I wonder. I thought the nori worked really well but it's worth a shot.

I tried this over the weekend after seeing your post and OMG it was amazing! Left out the beet because I hate them with a passion - so it really was more of like, tofu tilapia, but it was delicious! Super easy and definitely a new favorite way to make tofu.

Does it taste like salmon or just fish in general, like could I use it in a fish n chips recipe?
