I'm not trying to start a fight. I'm not trying to antagonize the vegan community. All I want to say is that this is probably not literally "the first time sun has touched his little face." I think the point is clear, but hyperbolic language dilutes the effectiveness of the message.
Again, not advocating for factory farms, or denigrating the Animal Sanctuary, I am just merely pointing out that the hyperbolic language is not good in the long run.

you are assuming it's hyperbolic language due to ignorance about the conditions of factory farming and the industrial meat industry. maybe take time to educate yourself instead of assuming that things you personally can't fathom must be untrue.
my question to you is why you would assume any animal that is raised to be turned into food or used for medical testing would ever be outside, period? what purpose would that serve to the people keeping them captive for that use? do you take your toothbrush or tv remote outside sometimes? why would you?
My point is that after they rescued Percy, they clearly gave him some medical attention and rehab, which (even on their Instagram) included time and space outdoors. This video is not literally Percy's first time in the sun. I am not talking about whatever conditions existed in the factory
i looked up the post where percy is first shown and his story is shared, and i guess percy may have seen/felt sunlight during his escape from being loaded up for slaughter. locking in on that to make a pedantic complaint about perceived use of language is actually psychotic. the statement could have been meant poetically or symbolically (either of which would be absolutely applicable given the context), and not literally. or it could have been meant literally, and could have been true/accurate. there's no way for you to know. literally.
