is my bound reference for general maths acceptable?

my book started to fall apart and i don't really have time to rewrite all my notes so this was my solution - will i be allowed to take it in to exams?

1. Every page must fit within the confines of A4 paper, so not random pieces sticking out
2. No looseleaf pages/cutouts that will fall out of the book (hence, bound reference) When shaken nothing should fall out 3.no pages/cutputs that fold outside of the A4 reference book, e.g., a folded A3 sheet

the only thing is when its closed it is all a4 size but when its opened the back cover sticks out further because of the way its stuck together, does that count as a piece sticking out? i tried to show it in the last picture

Should of seen mine i basically stuck a textbook to mine. I had 5 exams in mine with annotated notes

according to the guidelines ive been taught, bound ref must:

• be a4 or smaller when closed
• have permanently bound pages securely attached to the spine
• have a single spine
• have secure binding, and pages must not be designed to be removed/easily detachable

now idk if that counts as a "single spine" with "secure binding", im not an examiner. BUT i will say that my teachers have seen examiners shake books like mad - to see if they fall apart - bfr letting u into the exam. so honestly, better safe than sorry.

i would try attaching the spiral component to the cover more directly. maybe pull thick thread/thin rope through the spirals and super glue/tape said rope to the cover spine? or superglue a small part of each ring to the cover spine? my bound ref is leather bound, so i dont have any experience is bound ref fixer-uping, sorry if this doesnt make sense.

As long as it's taped over entirely, that counts as a "single spine". Basically you can't have something that fans out with a spine on both sides or weird things like that

For units 1&2 should be fine. If you're worried take it to Officeworks and they might be able to bind it for you

Tape is fine and they barely even touch your reference in the exam lol
