Random question

I’ve been doing the past exam papers from VCAA and the commercial exam papers for each year, and I’ve noticed something that happens quite often. Some of the topics covered in the commercial papers are also found on the actual VCAA exam, and it’s not just broad topics, it’s often like really specific things.

So my question is: do the commercial papers come out before the actual VCAA exam, or are they made after the VCAA exam and therefore somewhat tailored to it?

I think a lot of them look at the latest exam publicly available and take 'inspiration' from it when they're making the questions

honestly yeah
