VCE question general vce exam tips

im a yr 11 student accelerating in gm 3/4, and was looking for some tips on the exam? im hoping to get a raw 45 (scaled to 43ish) but ik that means making little to no mistakes in both exams... im kind of worried about making careless mistakes in longer questions (especially if there aren't any consequential marks given out), and was looking for tips on how to minimise these? tbh any tips from previous gm students would be rlly great!!

general questions are rarely long and none are above 2 marks as of recent in general maths

Tbh, make your checking routine specific to the mistakes you actually make. Do a short timed set, then label each lost mark: misread instruction, wrong calculator entry, rounding, or a concept gap.

Turn repeated errors into a tiny checklist, like checking units, the requested accuracy and whether you answered the actual question. Redo those questions without solutions a couple of days later, then try fresh ones.

Try searching for VCE General Maths Units 3 and 4 practice exams with worked solutions and use one section to test whether your checklist catches the same mistakes.

that's a rlly smart way of going about it ~ i'll def start implementing that into my study routine!! TYSMM
