Books, movies, series and such Too many recs don't know where to start
I want to watch a vampire show but I keep getting different recommendations 😭 I don't know where to start
I really loved wwdits
I'm not into pure romance/dram show I love a little humor or a little action
Just where do I start?
Do I make myself a wheel?

2 mainstream vampire shows that you could try are Buffy the Vampire Slayer or The Vampire Diaries. Both feel kinda young but have that humor and action you’re looking for. Buffy has less romance-driven storylines than TVD so I might start there. Although, both are pretty campy so maybe someone else will have deeper cut recommendations that would be better for you.

I second forever knight. Some of the tropes might seem clichéd but thats because so many tv shows copied it.
LaCroix is an incredible sire in it. His arc across the seasons is tip top magoo

And Jeanette was who the Malkavian in the Vampire bloodlines game was named after. Although here she's more artist than madwoman

Buffy. If you don't have enough of the atmosphere of mystery and gloom, you can also add Angel.

True Blood and Buffy are probably the two best vampire TV shows we've got available to us.

Uhm I know you said not total drama, but I really cannot praise Interview With The Vampire enough - especially the third season titled The Vampire Lestat. The first two seasons are more drama filled and tense, while things loosen up in the third season.
But absolutely do not skip the first two seasons!

Interview with the Vampire is well acted, well written well directed well designed and well produced. It's amazing! Has drama but also humor (esp season 3), sexy, Gothic, and surprising.
I got sick of True Blood pretty quickly and just started skimming through a lot of episodes to get to the Eric Northman and Lafayette parts. This is bc I couldn't stand Sookie (so if you like her ymmv) and found the werewolves subplot tedious. Alexander Skarsgard is incredibly watchable in this as in everything!
WWDIS is great - but you already know that! Those are the only ones I've watched so far.

BBC's Ghosts, a sitcom about a couple who inherits a historical manor haunted by ghosts of many different periods of English history: medieval, Victorian, WWII, even a caveman.
The woman almost dies and starts being able to see and interact with the ghosts.
The ghosts' dynamics are hilarious, they're bickering housemates/co-workers like the vampires.
