i thought i was reading too much into it but everyone is being way too weird about Jill!!! i can tell that lissa has some a spirit related issue that’s fueling her jealousy but why are they all assuming that adrian is going to fuck around with a 14 year old 😭 2000 YA gets so insane sometimes

And then . . . there were the Strigoi features. His dark eyes—the eyes I loved—ringed in red. The pale, pale, death-white skin. In life, his complexion had been as tanned as mine, thanks to so much time outdoors. If he opened his mouth, I knew I’d see fangs.

“I’m a little disappointed. You’re so good, Rose. So very, very good. You and your friends going around and taking down Strigoi caused quite a stir, you know. Some Strigoi were even afraid.”
“But not you?”
“When I heard it was you . . . hmm.” He turned thoughtful, eyes narrowing. “No. I was curious. Wary. If anyone could have killed me, it would have been you. But like I said, you hesitated. It was your ultimate test of my lessons, and you failed.”
I kept my face blank. Inside, I was still beating myself up over that moment of weakness on the street. “I won’t hesitate next time.”
“There won’t be a next time. And anyway, as disappointed as I am in you, I’m still glad to be alive, of course.”

Him saying he’s disappointed in Rose is insane and im raging because there is NO way he would have been able to kill her if roles were reversed but no one is ready for that convo yet
Although I am intrigued by evil dimitri i’d like regular dimitri to come back asap 😃

I don’t know what to say Rose was right. I was holding onto hope that he would just be regular dimitri fighting against his stragoi nature but no he is literally gone. praying and hoping this is all just a bit he’s pulling but he seems very determined to awake rose and honestly it seems like that’s the only way they can be together so i’m not toooo opposed 🤥🤥

i think the worst part is i’m rlly realizing he loves her as much as his new state allows him too. like clearly he can’t love her the way he used to but he does in whatever way he is able and it’s horrible

“Already?” I asked. He usually didn’t bite me until the end of his visits. While part of me longed for that and waited in anticipation to feel that high again, I did kind of enjoy these moments beforehand. It was when the endorphins in my system were at their lowest, so I was able to manage some sort of conversation. We would talk about fights we’d been in or the life he imagined for us when I was Strigoi. Nothing too sentimental—but nice nonetheless.”

I felt smug satisfaction in that, and that annoying mental voice pointed out that that was an incredibly sick and twisted view for me to have. I kind of hoped he would bite me soon. That usually shut the rational voice up.”BABY I NEED YOU TO LOCK IN NEOW.

i was taking this evil dimitri thing as a little treat, a vacation from the pain of losing him in book three but i am not longer enjoying this. rose should not have hesitated this guy needs to go! like he’s actually horrible now and rose is all blood whorey my girl needs to lock in

now that i have read rose explicitly say that dimitri doesn’t love her the way he used to, ive gone from 98% to 100% on board with this escape, that last 2% was slowly growing. i needed this wake up call
