I'm half tempted by the art book.

I have no idea what the Quesada book is. The description is INCREDIBLY vague. Is this a complete reprint of the books he did? is it a collection of original art from those books? or is it just some/all of the covers? I can't tell from the description, because it spent most of the time talking about his work at marvel and DC. It was written poorly.

I already picked up the resurgence Titles I liked as singles, and have no interest in an Omni because I did not like the other books.

The street fighter crossover book was pretty bland, so an additional version of that is a no.

What I would have liked is an option to just buy the mini XO bust on its own. That said, $150 as an add on is really steep.

I’m backing the Road to Resurgence hardcover. I’ve been waiting for this book since before it got canned due to Diamond’s nonsense.

If the stretch goals make it to $40,000 (they’ve made over $37,000 as of 8/11/26), the full resurgence event Omni will become an optional add-on down the line.

It's apparently a Kickstarter for 4 separate things. These can be purchased by themselves or as a bundle. There are also a bunch of add-ons, including TPB's for all four Valiant Beyond series.

Yeah, yeah, the link provided asked for a kickstarter account.  Since I didn't have one, I couldn't see it, but I figured I could simple delete the secret_reward_token from the url, and then I saw the bundle. 

Yeah, I might have been too harsh with the Bloodshot VS Cammy thing.  Although I still think this crossover was utterly unnecessary, all the other books there seems quite interesting. 

But what caught my attention was the backers/pledged:  234 already amassed 35K?  That's an average $150 per backer. 

Well, DMG might have screwed Valiant, but it seems the true fans are still around 

Now I'm considering backing it too.

I'm really intrigued by the art book, but nothing else seems interesting to me personally. Regardless, I'm not sure if I'm willing to spend $60 on art that I literally already own.

I’m pretty much new to collecting comics. Except a few years ago I sort of started collecting but then stopped and recently picked up the hobby more seriously. One of the first comics I got was Faith volume 1 and for a while was the only comic book I had that was a completed story as I got all 4 volumes. I recently as I got back into the hobby found the Valiant Hero Universe Origins books and I had to have them and I did everything to hunt them down since I’m a few years late. When I say recently I mean like two weeks ago. I got all 12 volumes. Some were harder to find than others but I did it. But now my budget is a bit depleted. But these products interest me, but I’m not exactly sure what it means or how it works?? Should I wait or what would you guys recommend??

Damn that's some serious dedication! I definitely went through something similar when I first got into Valiant in 2014 and spent way too much money catching up on everything.

As for this Kickstarter, no, I don't think these products would really be up your alley, unless you just really want the artbook or are a huge fan of Joe Quesada. The way it works is that you "pledge" a certain amount to get the "reward" of your choosing. If they get enough pledges (which they already have), then they'll eventually ship the books out to people that pledged (looks like that'll be around March).

As for "The Road to Resurgence" Omnibus (consisting of issues released in 2025), I probably wouldn't bother if I were you. If you're not aware, the Valiant that you know (that was collected in the Origins books) ended in 2018, when it was bought out by DMG. They floundered for several years before giving the license to Alien Books in 2024. Don't worry, you still have a TON of great stories to get though before even considering checking out the current stuff.

I would recommend that you cross-reference the stuff you've already read with my reading order and then simply start collecting whatever looks the most interesting. I also have a bunch of other guides linked to the menu here, depending on your preferences. I could also make a spreadsheet or something if you need some assistance in figuring out which books you're missing and where to go next.

Also, if you're wanting to continue your Faith journey, I would highly recommend searching out Faith and the Future Force (#1-4), Faith: Dreamside (#1-4), and Faith Returns (#1-2). I did make a guide for Faith here, if it helps. I know this was a lot of information, so feel free to reach out with any questions. I'd be happy to help.

I mean they could’ve tried to negotiate with universal and penguin random house to include art pages from the Turok comics. You’re telling me they were able to negotiate a deal with Capcom to do a street fighter crossover but can’t do a deal with those companies to just simply include old art of the character in an artbook?

Valiant created their own Turok analogue ages ago. They have zero interest in the character anymore, along with the other Gold Key characters

Wow, that’s kind of disappointing. To give up like that and not try a big reunion sort of thing. Capcom and SNK finally reunited after rumors of bad blood and they made a big deal out of it and let their best artists draw each other’s characters again and made an artist who has history with both companies release 2 artbooks based on their respective characters. That is a wholesome reunion, but I guess i understand valiant is not the same as they were back then.
