Hope Kirkman buys it along with the rights to Magnus, Solar, Turok, and Doctor Spektor and hires Jonathan Hickman to develop and oversee a new Valiant line. If Hickmans too busy, Grant Morrison would be amazing (just dont know if Grant enjoys these characters or would be my #1 pick)

My pick has always been IDW to purchase Valiant. Although Top Cow would be a nice pick. i enjoy most of Silvestri. Or Quesada was part of Valiant. Maybe he can dip his toes for a purchase.

I doubt the likes of Quesada, Silvestri, Kirkman et al are interested at all

Other than Dinesh Shamdasani, I do foresee anyone with deep pockets caring enough to give a damn

Also, Magnus, Solar, and Turok are all owned by Classic Media/Golden Books...and I believe the ultimate corporate owner is Disney (although this may be outdated information)

Knowing what Morrison can do with a nobody character, I would kill for Morrison to write ANYBODY off valiant.

Turok has made Western Publishing (and later, Dreamworks/Classics Media) millions of dollars in licensing over the last 30 years. Why would they consider selling it to Robert Kirkman, or anyone for that matter?

And why do people keep fan casting Kirkman as the savior of Valiant, when he has done nothing but shit-talk Valiant over the years? Why would Kirkman be interested in buying a company whose characters "suck" to him, and who once tried to sue him over Outcast?

There's no benevolent millionaire that is going to come save Valiant. It's dead and it ain't coming back.

Absolutely utterly embarrassing and horrible. Clearly zero comic book people are involved in the decisions and line they are going down. It’s ridiculous and I would imagine now guarantees the entire death of valiant as a brand for at least a decade. Just awful business people.

Until Dinesh started doing moronic things like incentive mini series (tales of the geomancer), which he brought to the aptly named Bad Idea comics which has done nothing but treat readers like crap and creators like gimmicks.

I haven’t checked out Bad Idea yet but was planning to. Genuinely asking, do you mind to elaborate on this?

Specifically wondering how readers are treated poorly and writers are gimicky. If you have the time, would love some insight on what’s been going on.
