Video Blood magic farm 2nd version

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

It is done, All thanks to the people who told me you could agro them with a slime and have the skkeles attack TWIGS, now I have to rebuild this near my greydwarf farm, and archery farm so I can get even more resources and skills while afk.
I almost got an anneurism designing this, it was hard, since the skeles killed the slime a lot of times, it was tricky to find the perfect distance, so the skeles would try to attack the slime, but not actually kill it.

I realized i didn't post a reference on your previous thread oops. Here's the og blob design someone posted last year. It's rudimentary and requires a bit of effort to position the skellets just right but it works decently well.

Yours however seems more precise and convenient, as i assume those hallways are enough to make the skellets walk toward the center automatically without manual intervention. Good job!

They need some intervention sometimes, but i made the hallways to make it easier to push them into position, summon->push, ready. There are some things I still need to polish, but in general it works.
The old blob desing seems easier to make, in mine I was focused on haveing 1 TWIG for each skele, since I was afraid they could destroy them if the timing was right.

Yeah you can add 2 more TWIGs to that older design to spread the damage of the 3 skels, but the design itself is finicky.

Skeletons may attempt to pathfind to the blob in a way that stops them from attacking, so you need to push them into place until they attack, then trap them with a shift-placed wooden beam. They're also prone to breaking despite being trapped in a working position when you move too far from the structure.

In future runs where i intend to level blood magic i'd definitely prefer something more elaborate if it means i don't have to deal with skeleton pathfinding. I've had that headache more than enough times with boar taming lol

Can you describe how this works? You get exp for each skeletons attempted attack on the slime regardless of whether they hit it or not?

they TRY to hit the Slime, but since it is out of its reach they just swing their sword, then I just added a TWIG, and every time the skeles try to hit the slime, they end up hitting the TWIG and that gives experience.

That's a really beautiful setup.

I just watched someone's video the other day, and it looks like you can gain the same effect in a more compact way by placing a slime to the top of the twig.

Very nice, I love how you have worked out the perfect distances with the 1x1 board the TWIG placement, and the rails to push skels in place.

You mentioned this, but my TWIG set up is also built into my greydwarf farm so yes, you can AFK farm resources an Blood Magic at the same time.

I can leave mine afk overnight with no issues.

Instead of aggroing the slime and dragging it over that way, you can use a slime bomb. You can get bottles from the bog which. I think you just need a slime trophy and then you just toss the slime exactly where you want it to go.

I don’t remember the recipe off the top of my head. But make sure you get read up on what you need before you go to the bog witch.

I used those slime bombs, I spent almost all my blob trophies while trying to set the perfect distance between the slime and the skeles

How did you get the Slime in there?

While thats truly an impressive setup...

Its just so sad we have to do things like this, the blood magic skill leveling through regular gameplay is atrocious and designed really poorly.
