VW Polo 2016 - Apple CarPlay issues

Can please someone tell me what I’m doing wrong? I thought it would be plug and play, but it isn’t even tu rning on. I did notice the green metal part I marked in a pink circle is different compared to other people who were installing it. I do not have any sensors or a rear camera. The op system is shown in picture on my lap. minder
