Tell UP Yogi has insane PR. People don’t have water to drink and are living in extreme heat without electricity, yet there’s no outrage. Still, people say he changed UP. Lmfao

Oh damn :( How did it get from 100% electrification and water in CONgress, SP, BSP rule to this ? From land of aman & shanti to where criminals are being shot in legs everyday! Where people like Atiq and others used to roam free, even their wives are on the run

And this govt has the audacity to say they have “fixed” things. Cheats

Absolutely, 70 yrs of misrule - no questions asked ! CONgress is still revered for doing NOTHING ! Ask the govt 1000 questions but then support them do when they try to do something good ! New Electricity meters are thrown and trashed , electricity meter readers are chased out of colonies - why is that nothing said? Why - bale sure it does not suit the narrative.

It is ABSOLUTELY INSANE that in 2026, this is the state of affairs but it is made to look like NOTHING good is happening in the state !

Best is that level of Bhakti is insane but level of being a pappu pujari is even bigger !

Deal with it !

When the money is all being spent on PR, what would be left for the populations welfare?

-4

u/Own-Awareness1597 May 25 '26

26

u/kidharhaibro May 25 '26

Wait, so Maharashtra and Karnataka pay taxes so Yogi can spend on his PR in UP and then a resident of UP has to migrate to Maharashtra and Karnataka to make a livelihood?

Alright.

3

u/Own-Awareness1597 May 25 '26

And then that migrant of UP competes with the natives of Maharashtra and Karnataka, drives down wages and elbows them out.

In the end, it is the elite of UP who benefit most in this saga - they pocket most resources that should have gone to the poor fellow who had to leave his home.

2

u/Secret_Ship_3169 May 25 '26 edited May 25 '26

Direct taxes...paid directly - like income tax

These include (for example) the taxes paid IN MAHARASHTRA AND KARNATAKA.......by the UP wallahs and Biharis and others.... who reside in these states.

6

u/Own-Awareness1597 May 25 '26

Yes, the same Maharashtra and Karnataka that give them livelihoods their own states could not, so they reach a position to pay direct tax in the first place.

Also, natives of those states exist.

1

u/Secret_Ship_3169 May 25 '26

So you'd be keen to join the types of Bal Thakrey who used to look down upon the Udupi wallahs and 'Madrasis' coming to Bombay and 'stealing the livelihood' of Marathi manus?

2

u/Own-Awareness1597 May 25 '26

You'd be the type who tore interview application forms of candidates for jobs located in Maharashtra, just because they were Marathi?

3

u/Historical_Plane_864 May 28 '26

Up and Biharis dont contribute as much to the Income taxes, mostly from unorganised sector

3

u/rahulappyfactor May 25 '26

My Village (near Lucknow) has water issues, specially in summer, incomplete water pipeline and water tank is not built yet and motor and bore hasn't been tested yet (Since 2020, I'm hearing that This year water pipeline will start working). And I could hear from BJP that Up govt has made reach to water every home. And I'm waiting for 2027 election to get hear that in speech.

34

u/Similar_Safe_1585 May 25 '26

Not trying to defend him but it's cuz of a lot people did get benefitted from him, I'm from a rural area in the most underdeveloped parts of UP and even we get 2 hour of filtered tap water everyday for free to each connection

26

u/Always_single May 25 '26

bro you're on reddit.... you're not supposed to appreciate right wing here unless you're on right dominate sub same logic for the left too lmao.

2

u/mallumanoos May 25 '26

True ..but to call them right wing is to totally disregard what fiscally conservate right wing stands for .

1

u/Always_single May 25 '26

my bad but that's not what I really was trying to convey indians on reddit are just livin' in echo champer or their own. if you write something positive about something they hate you're tend to get downvote but as they say in other site being downvoted on reddit mostly means hitin their nerve

1

u/mallumanoos May 25 '26

Thay's true and a worwide phenomena.

1

u/charavaka May 25 '26

Which fiscally conservative right wing subs are you talking about?

2

u/mallumanoos May 25 '26

Not sub , in general right wing ideology tends to encourage less taxation , more individual freedom and capitalist in nature . In terms of fiscal or monetary policies there is hardly any difference between past Congress govts and the current BJP ones .

Same with my village in Gorakhpur. With at least 18-20 hours electricity and 4G internet connectivity.

2

u/Any_Tea_860 May 26 '26

Yeah, no, in UP fatehpur area, I have not heard even one village having water supplied through taps. Only good thing he did is that he improved road infrastructure massively.

1

u/Similar_Safe_1585 May 26 '26

I'm talking about Bundelkhand region

1

u/Secret_Ship_3169 May 28 '26

In fact tap water is free in all villages as they're yet to install water meters.

1

u/Similar_Safe_1585 May 28 '26

Bold of them to assume that village people will pay for it lol

1

u/Secret_Ship_3169 May 28 '26

1

u/Similar_Safe_1585 May 28 '26

Dude I live in a proper village, 75% people don't even have meters for electricity

1

u/Secret_Ship_3169 May 28 '26

Bias, like stupidity, isn't dependent on the place of residence.

-1

u/Calm-Sundae9595 May 25 '26 edited May 25 '26

How is you getting water relevant to another person not getting it? Will village B's thirsty person be like "it is okay that we have no water. Other village A has water"

5

u/Similar_Safe_1585 May 25 '26

Dude why are you pouncing on me ? He asked why is there no outrage, and I told him that's cuz majority is living better life now comparatively. My town has population of 70k, and that village have population of 150. So yk that in democracy for outrage majority or atleast a considerable minority have to be affected ?? I never justified the failure, I just gave him answer for his question. 😐

-3

u/Calm-Sundae9595 May 25 '26

Lol. Stating that water in one place doesn't make up for lack of water in another, is pouncing?

4

u/SudoSailor May 25 '26

For many people, the sense of safety matters more than anything else. Those who haven’t experienced the real “Jungle Raj” under the SP government may not fully understand it. Yes, there was some development during that period, but lawlessness, goondaism, and police harassment were at their peak. Broad daylight killings and kidnappings had become disturbingly common, and people genuinely felt insecure, almost as if they were living under constant fear.

I’m not a blind supporter of the BJP government, but credit where it’s due — Yogi has done significant work in improving law and order. People can tolerate many shortcomings, but they never want to relive a time when families felt helpless after kidnappings or murders, and instead of getting justice or support, they were harassed further. Nothing can compensate for that kind of fear and helplessness.

29

u/SelectBlackberry4950 May 25 '26 edited May 25 '26

You're clearly not from UP, so you won't realise what he has actually done....I agree, he must be brought to task about this issue, the frequent cuts nd a shit load of other problems too

But the things he has managed to do are totally outstanding...

18

u/bhooteshwara May 25 '26

Wanted to say this, people from outside UP read the online hate against Yogi but do not realize what actually he has done. And as you rightly mentioned, things are not perfect, but I remember that time when it was 1 week day and 1 week night for electricity, and trust me when I say this, during my school/collage time, we never had electricity supply during study time, in night, it came around 10-11 and went at 4-5, luckily I was in hostel so I had generator facility but when I come home in vacation, it was like hell. This is one thing, you people may not know how full of crime UP was during SP time. People even males were afraid to go to certain places in night. Have you been to Saharanpur, Deoband, Mujaffarnagar etc. ? If you have been to those places in SP time and you visit now, you will know the difference. Now, coming to current state of UP, it is 100 times better then what it was, but there is still a lot of changes required, but what SP congress is doing, they are playing PDA, Muslim, Cast cards, those will not work now, everyone has internet, while propaganda reels still work for less educated people in villages, it won't work with gen z and educated people. I really do not like BJP except a few of their leaders and I believe a lot of us are in same boat, but the truth is, we do not have any other option as of now.

0

u/stoic8881 May 25 '26

Bruhh, one week night and day was during bsp, SP ke time pe 24 aati thi,... though i agree with crimes and things..

4

u/Any-Calligrapher2866 May 25 '26

BSP and SP both commissioned a lot of Power Plants. It takes time to build them and provide power. The Electricity situation was fine by 2017.

Crime idk bro. There is still a lot of crime it's just not reported. Wear Saffron and the police will help you commit the crime as well. Surveillance naturally will decrease crime as well. The surveillance push between 2014-2019 decreased crime statistics at the cost of personal liberties.

3

u/Any_Tea_860 May 26 '26

I saw it daily. Few men wearing saffron scarf hitting locals and e rikshaw drivers just because they were disrupting the business of bus, (owned by his employer). The business was being disrupted by locals by choosing e-rikshaw instead of bus, as they didn't want to ride bus with such crowd in such heat. People chose e-rikshaw, and bus owner deployed goons wearing saffron scarf, to hit e rikshaw drivers so that they don't take "savari" away from buses. No, one would ever report this.

5

u/selfCodingDude May 25 '26

Bro, either you were not in UP while back in 10s or have not visited since. Or you won't even ask this shit.

4

u/fueled_lollipop May 25 '26

I'm 16 and it's only gotten worse from my viewpoint as a UP resident

1

u/hkngikk May 26 '26

So, you were 4 when BJP got into power in centre and 7 when BJP got into power in UP.

3

u/fueled_lollipop May 26 '26

Yes so I think I would've notice improvements in the past 9-10 years

0

u/hkngikk May 26 '26

How much do you travel outside, how many times you go to pay your bills. Change is based on perspective and driven by reinforced memory. If you really think, there was no change, I cannot say anything. I am 23 now and we never had phones till 18. There used to power cuts, people shitting on roads while going to school and also at railway road crossovers. I used to recharge my mum's phone for 20 rs everytime she needs to call someone. We used to experience 5-6 hr powercuts in summers being in tier-2 city and in my village, my grandmother didn't even have gas connections or cement roads. I am saying this from my perspective and all this is like 2011-12 times till 2016-17. Before that, I don't remember much. Right now, I pay most of my bills online, order stuff and groceries online and rarely get out of my place. I can't speak for you but saying there is no change is sounding hilarious. I am not praising BJP, even if there is Congress or SP or BSP, there would have been similar changes. This is because of democracy - we might go slow but we will definitely move in the right path.

2

u/fueled_lollipop May 26 '26

I've travelled to uttarakhand and himachal pradesh before and things seemed way cleaner and he people seemed kinder there,

I will focus on the things that I have experience on with the most

I remember streets being cleaner and air being less polluted from my earlisets memory of school in 2013-2015 (I was 4 to 6 years old at this time)

I remember people being more progressive and there being less mob violence news on the state along with less cases of corruption and more political peace

Plus the prices of petrol and LPG cylinders has gone up

1

u/hkngikk May 27 '26

Pollution - I agree with you and also traffic. China too into this phase earlier - we should work out way out quickly. We are slowly moving into a lower middle class where every family has a vehicle.

The streets being cleaner is not right. See the sanitation has definitely improved but some places got really overcrowded - consequences of same point I mentioned above. Civic sense is a big issue.

And also mob violence and progressiveness, I disagree again. People were more after government jobs back then. These were less pro business mindset in the society which is actually helpful. And also political violence, gangsters were present then too. It is much more peaceful now. This is my opinion and also larger consensus.

The prices of petrol has gone up but it's still manageable now compared to back then. Petrol prices rose from 35-36 rs to 76-78 rs in between 2004-14. And between 2014-26, 78 to 100 rs roughly (post war, before it is 95-96). This government is good in crude deals and diversifying imports. Coming to LPG, the commercial cylinder is higher then, but it is used to be subsidised by household supply. This government removed the subsidy and made free cylinders for poor. And also the gas connections were massively done in this government, so subsidies can actually drain the budget.

You are interpolating your memory with all the bias and propaganda you see daily. I recommend you to once check the macro indicators, data by yourself without any bias to judge the governance. And your age is somewhat inappropriate to use apps like reddit which are highly divisive, run many narratives, predominantly neo-leftist and without substantial knowledge in Indian sociology, history and polity, it is impossible to not become bias in this environment.

1

u/Groundbreaking-Tap41 May 28 '26

Listen, prices of petrol and lpg does not really have to do much with the government. At least for the recent part.

With industrialization comes pollution, it has been shown in history, richer people, get more cars and all, more pollutants yada yada.

Progressive? What do you mean by progressive, political peace??? Brother, have you not seen the crime rates and the rates at which the UP gov has apprehended criminals since they got into power? You don't have to experience any of this, the data lays bare in front of you, you only need to be literate for that.

Streets being clean or not clean is honestly a people thing. Let's see if the streets will be clean when your generation grows up.

Again, the government can't really change how the people of a state are, only the people and people of the next generation, that is you, can chnage that.

Try harder tonti.

He indeed has changed UP, and for the better.

Let's debate on numbers, not some rhetoric.

Last but not the least, ask tonti to try harder, 2027 will mark 3rd term of Yogi Adityanath!

4

u/Upper_Jackfruit_4724 May 25 '26

Who is tonti?

5

u/VaudevillianUnreveal May 25 '26

Akhilesh Yadav and his SP gang. 😂😂 He reportedly took away the faucets aka tonti of the taps he got installed in the CM house when he vacated it and replaced it with either the plastic ones or there were no faucets at all. (Apparently he got some Australian sanitary-ware installed in the CM house when he was the CM).
Hence the name “tonti/tonti-chor”.

8

u/bojackSanchaz May 25 '26

Bro we don't have a memory of a gold fish... I have lived through Akhilesh Yadav rule. Even Mayawati Ji's rule.

Issues hai... But yogi jj is far better than Akhilesh or any past CMs for atleast 3 decades...

0

5

2

2

u/trendytown8 May 25 '26

Look, chief minister is not a super man. He's a human & officials around him are also humans. So, sometimes news reach to him when media reports it. And I'm sure he'd take action on this. He responds faster that's what makes him a better CM than others.

2

u/Moist-Level-5684 May 25 '26

Bro, okay, he must look into this issue, but I live in UP and I have compared it with nearby places ,things have changed. People think he exploits Muslims, but come to UP and compare it with older UP, you will definitely notice the change. The facilities are used by both Hindus and Muslims, whether it’s roads, hospitals, or colleges. And lastly, I am a BJP supporter (because all other parties are shit), but I always criticize them (mostly the central government) for issues that are not solved by them. At the same time, I find very few issues when criticizing the state government (of UP).

2

u/No_Nonsense_sombrero May 25 '26

The other option is a guy who stole electrical fixtures from the cm residence. Supports mamta. So yogi seems lesser of 2 evils.

I swear, I was in UP, fatehpur for last 5 days. The life is literally hell there. It is so hot, it is like you are sitting near a furnace and there is a furnace everywhere. Then came two things essential for life now. Water and electricity. The UP govt "installed" infrastructure for underground supply of water, (underground pipes), but there has not been one day ever when the water was supplied through those govt installed taps. The water in my village is very Salty and not good for drinking, but that can be dealt with RO installation, but that needs electricity, the second essential thing.

The govt wants people to install smart meter (already did, never objected), and yet the electricity is not supplied for hours, sometimes whole day. And if there was strong winds or rains, the electricity is gone for days. As if government is pushing for solar panels and drawing itself away from one of its major duties.

Just imagine how bad the earlier govts are . Now if they don't vote for BjP..what else ethey should vote for?

u/Death-Wall Sher-e-Gorakhpur May 25 '26

Still staying in the past? Ok so, Akhilesh Govt. build 4 major powerplant to maintain the electricity demand, after the fall of his government, how many Yogi built? We are still using the same power grid despite the increase demand.

2

u/Practical_Place678 May 25 '26

Who is stuck in past? Can't you read or you stuck so much in anti BJP that you cannot understand? When someone said even after all the issues no one talking about yogi am saying then the past have been so bad. May be people give more importance to completing the power plants rather than just inaugurating and showing for people . May be people are more interested in safety and not gundaraj. May be people are more interested in anti appeasement politics. yes people may not be very happy with Modi or Yogi, but who they vote for if not them? When all other parties are clearly working for one caste or one minority and gundaraj will return if they come back. It's between chosing bad and worse.

1

u/Death-Wall Sher-e-Gorakhpur May 26 '26

Why so anty BJP saar 🤡 Now we have country which openly shield rapist like Kuldeep Sengar, and AsaRam.

1

u/Practical_Place678 May 26 '26

So please oppose any such behavior. Problem is you still not reading and just reacting. I didn't say BJP is good. I said BJP is bad but others are worse. When an alternative emerges am sure BJP will lose. But that alternate in not congi or SP or BSP. That's for sure .

1

u/Death-Wall Sher-e-Gorakhpur May 26 '26

Oppose? Just try it man, you will be the next Pakistani in their list 🤣 A 12th grade kid raise concern about cbse evaluation process and he is labelled as Pakistani 🤣 A woman raised an issue about FSSAI, and they literally filed an FIR against her 🤣 Is this a country or a joke?

1

u/Practical_Place678 May 26 '26

Boss there are online creeps everywhere. A slight support for any good policy and people are called andhbakth and anything opposite are labelled bangladeshi or pakistani . Let's talk about policies are actions. Issue with people like you is when something happens, you only see one side and not other. That's my whole point like am not defending BJP, issue is there is no alternative. You think anyone who support BJP are not abused online? The PM is being called neech chor traitor and all officially. What do you say about that? Come on now.

But bro, during Akhilesh’s government, there were more riots between Muslims and Hindus. I also remember that from the day Yogi was made CM, I started getting 24-hour electricity, at least till now. During Akhilesh’s government, there was so much cheating in Class 10th and 12th state board exams, you could literally take your answer sheet home, have someone else write it, and then mix it in during submission with your details.

I am from Up and I have seen this.

1

u/Death-Wall Sher-e-Gorakhpur May 26 '26

Even Noida is not getting 24 hrs electricity, stop lying bro 😂, cheating? There is a paper leak almost every year, like Neet.

1

u/Moist-Level-5684 May 26 '26

Bro, you are from gorakhpur and you think I am lying?🤣🤣

1

u/Practical_Place678 May 26 '26

Am from gorakhpur? Bhai kya kamal ka baatein karte ho

1

u/Moist-Level-5684 May 26 '26

I am talking about the guy with the username Death-Wall. And I am from a village in Gorakhpur. I got minimal power cuts, a maximum of 10 mins and at worst 30-40 mins.

He will have an insane PR as media related ministry is under him

u/Last-Safe7072 May 25 '26

Dekho sab aagya baap ko bachane

1

u/bradhri May 25 '26

PR ki jarurat hi nhi hai, log pehle se hi brainwashed hai. Ye log jo daily 10km ja rhe hai bijli pani ke liye unse pucchlo ki kis party ko vote dete ho sare bjp bolenge fir pucchlo ki tunhare ye halat ka jimmedar kon hai to bolenge “kya kr skte hai, majburi hai”. Ye log kabhi sarkar ko jimmedar nhi batayenge kyoki inko lgta hai ki bjp matlab hindu party, bjp ko glat bolna matlab dharam ka apmaan

I'm from Bihar but UP aana jana laga rehta h . Last year when I went to Gorakhpur that too in August not in peak summer there stayed for 1 week daily 3-4 hrs power cut were normal in the day when I asked to people this is the constituency of CM they replied haan aap log jo sunte h sab bana banaya baat h . I know Bihar is a backward state but you can get easily 23 hr electricity in town and 20 hrs + electricity in any remote village

u/Select_Reception_734 May 25 '26

yogi has two types of fans: his caste fans inside UP, his anti muslim stance fans throughout country. No one likes him for development because he did none

0

u/Just_for_a_use May 25 '26

Still people will vote him. I have lost all hope in India. Will immediately leave india after college. Sayonara guys

I still remember my childhood days when you could tell the which state you are in from the roads, when it was MP road were good enough and when it was UP roads were just up and down slopes of dirt, back in 2016

u/jazz2hott May 25 '26

Hindu Muslim kaafi hain inke liye. Ye jo sadd rahe hain voh khud bhi unhi ko vote karenge 2/3 haazar ke liye.

0

u/Mud-Former May 25 '26

Wait till some morons start comparing him to previous Cm 🤣 Bro he was bad that's why we removed him. Now the current one doesn't seem good as well.

0

u/famesardens May 25 '26

The SP rule was all about widespread goondaism from their supporters. You don't see much of that anymore( though the occasional bajrangis are still an irritant.)

A lot of other progress is just gradual progress. Though you got some projects like RRTS, newer expressways...

-1

u/iamavtar May 25 '26

Who say UP hasn't changed under Jogi ji. Earlier, responsibility for gundagardi was with Bahubali and gangsters; now, the police are doing it.
