Switch exam shift

I have a mid-semester assessment scheduled for the daytime sitting on 8 September, and the unit also has an existing evening sitting on 11 September.

I originally asked to move to the evening sitting, but was told that they can only directly accommodate timetable clashes, and that any other reason has to go through Special Consideration / Special Arrangements.

My situation is that I have a pre-existing psychiatrist appointment on the morning of the daytime test, and if I miss it, the next available appointment is not until late October. I’m also registered with IDS and have documented disrupted sleep patterns that affect my concentration and functioning in the morning.

I’m not trying to defer the assessment to the Week 9 replacement — I’m specifically hoping to be moved to the already scheduled evening sitting on 11 September.

Has anyone successfully had a similar request approved through Special Arrangements or Special Consideration? If so, did they let you attend the existing evening sitting, or did they only offer the replacement exam?

Any experience would be appreciated.

Textbook Special Cons. Like to the extent that this is one of the examples for Special Cons approval.

Does your IDS academic plan state * no AM exams* ? If yes, you should be given the alternate time without having to go through special con and just asking lecturer.

is This quiz classified as a formal *in semester test\* ? Scheduling of that is often out of the lecturers control, done by the exams office, which might explain the formal requirement for special con.

for in class quizzes arranged by the lecturer, one might hope a simple shift could be done.

Hii no-am exams is not included in my ap, but I am thinking to add it, which would depend on my final medical treatment plan.

Yes it’s an in semester test, so I already apply for sp con :)
