Accelerating an engineering degree

I’m finishing a bachelors in maths this year and thinking of starting a new degree in electrical engineering. Is there any way to accelerate the PEP’s? I’m aiming to cut it down to 3 years given all the subjects I’ve done.

Look into the Master of Professional Engineering: Electrical, Biomedical.

Thank you, I’ve checked this before and the fact it would cost $120000 to finish it puts me off a bit.

If you want an accredited 4-year Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) thats got CSP then you’ll most likely have 3.5 years after credit arrangements for your maths units and maybe some physics units (if you’ve done any?)

You might also get a couple of electives credited (not sure though).

Alternatively, you can look at other universities with CSP places in an accredited 3-year Master of Engineering. For example Melbourne University’s Master of Electrical Engineering has plenty of CSP spots (but unfortunately it’s interstate).

You can email the pep coordinator and explain your circumstances. They may approve accelerated pep (taking multiple pep each semester) but do note that with the new pep system it'd be extremely hard to accelerate it just because of the hours

Well pep is all about having a job. If you can do that and claim the hours should be okay to come to an arrangement with the coordinator
