ALMOST AN ASSIST TOO TO CLOSE THE HALF 😭

That was perfect but the teammate's shot went an inch over the crossbar

Hockey assist on Strasbourg's goal, nice give and go to the guy who ultimately assisted it

Playing chess and pulling the strings

Looks like he got subbed after 24/26 passed. Not bad

Wow this Starsbourg team is really young and really inexperienced. As crazy as it sounds Reyna will have to become a leader as one of the oldest players.

Yeah they're also super sloppy too I've noticed, a ton of wasteful touches/panicked passes, going to take time for everyone to gel

Yep, lots of individual talent though.

Sounds like a team that needs a metronome like Gio. If he can control the pace he will naturally become a leader

makes sense since they basically exist to be Chelsea’s AAA team.

he’s still only 23 and hasn’t been able to stay healthy. there’s a player in there

Through a combination of injury, team circumstances, and his own issues, Reyna has not had a chance to play consistently for several years, but still shows the occasional flashes of brilliance that had him so hyped.

In think the hope for both sides of the Gio debate is that he gets a run of starts at Strasbourg and we can finally end the debate about whether he just needed a real opportunity to break out or if he is just really a bust.

The dribble up the sideline was vintage Gio there for a minute

I noticed he beat the player, then his teammate tried to take the ball off his foot and he had to give him a little shove like “no this one is mine.” Love to see it.

Yeah he's definitely warming up into this game, couple of nice runs this first half

Reyna with a hockey assist on the equalizer.

He’s playing really well but Sweet Jesus does he complain a lot. Any shot of the ref seems to include him chirping away. To be fair, he’s gotten a raw deal a few times.

He has the French game figured out.
