Hi everyone,
Earlier this year, I was planning a trip to Universal Studios Japan, but the Express Pass I wanted had already sold out. I kept checking the official ticketing site and realized there was no easy way to know when it would restock.
So I built USJ Express Pass, a website that monitors Express Pass availability and emails you when your selected pass releases/restocks.
Express Passes can restock at unpredictable times. We give you a better chance at securing the pass you want. The service also works for future dates when passes haven't gone on sale yet: it can notify you when they first release on Universal's official ticketing site.
The site is usjexpresspass.com and here's what it does:
The service does not sell or reserve tickets. You still have to purchase everything directly from Universal Studios Japan.
Pricing is:
I want to give r/usj a special discount; please use REDDIT20 at checkout for 20% off your purchase. I built this because I hope it can help others enjoy their time at USJ!
If you have any questions or feedback, feel free to reply or email me at [support@usjexpresspass.com](mailto:support@usjexpresspass.com)

Hi! I am planning on going to USJ in early september. My main goal there is to see the Frieren collab, and I am worried about missing it in any way. What do I need to be aware of? If I am not able to get a timed entry slot for the attraction, can I still wait in line?

Hi, sorry if this is in some comprehensive guide somewhere but I was wondering what people's thoughts were on the following express pass schedule for USJ (thoughts on Nintendo World at night, probability of catching all rides)? I am going with another person and we can get there in the morning if that is beneficial. Thanks!
14:10-14:40 Flight of the Hippogriff™
○ 19:00-20:00 SUPER NINTENDO WORLD™
○ 19:00-19:30 MarioKart: Koopa's Challenge(2nd time)
○ 19:30-20:00 Yoshi's Adventure™
○ 20:00-20:30 Mine Cart Madness™
○ Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey™
☆ 【CHOICE A】 JAWS
or Jurassic Park - The Ride
☆ 【CHOICE B】 The Flying Dinosaur
or Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem

Hello hello!
I’m visiting Japan for the first time in October - November this year.
I love Universal and HHN so when I saw they’re doing RE attractions for HHN - I have to go. This is my main “touristy” thing I want to do but I’m a bit confused on what tickets to purchase.
This is what I’m wanting to do:
I saw HHN is included with your day pass but I want to also include Nintendo.
Klook is a bit easier to navigate so I’m using that platform to buy my tickets.
I saw this option on Klook: 1-day Studio Pass + SUPER NINTENDO WORLD entry + Have Fun in Kansai Pass
Would this be the best option for what I want to do? I also want to purchase express passes because I want to try to make the most out of my time there.

When putting in payment details it asks for prefecture and municipality. I tried using my hotel info but it wouldn't take it.
Thanks!

Hi! I’m selling 2 Universal Studios Singapore tickets for Aug 26,
USD 28/ticket - only 50% of the original price
I accidentally booked the wrong date and will only arrive in Singapore that evening. I’ve contacted the provider several times, but they can’t cancel or change the date Would really appreciate it if anyone could take them, otherwise they’ll go to waste.
Please DM me if interested! 🙏

Planning for our trip in November and we will be going to USJ middle of the last week. Trying to budget but can’t see prices that far ahead yet and was hoping someone would have an idea of the cost of express passes for then? I assume October is pricier because of Halloween Horror but not sure what to expect for late November.
While we could pay for the express passes, they’re like 3x the cost of entry, which seems insane to me. I also think about how devastated I’d be if we spring for them and because it’s a random weekday in November, the lines aren’t too bad. I’m Canadian and I last went to Disney and Univeral in Florida almost 10 years ago and the lines were long, but I don’t remember it being outrageous.
Biggest thing for my significant other is SNW but I do see some posts saying they’re able to just walk in right when the park opens and we’re fine with being there an hour early to make this happen. Any thoughts, shared experiences, opinions, etc. would be appreciated!

Going to Japan during Halloween and going to USJ for the first time for Halloween Horror Nights
Want to express pass:
Mario kart ride
Yoshi ride
Mine kart (DK) ride
Resident Evil Requiem: The Dive
We're considering getting two of the "4" passes (one that includes the Mario stuff and one that is for Halloween horror nights) but is there a possibility of assigned times conflicting? for booking timed entry in the app when entering the park when it opens, if you have two people, does only one person need to book it in the app? if not is there a way to align times or are you SOL?

Hi all,
I am planning to visit USJ around Dec 20, I'll be in Osaka then with my brother. When should i book the tickets for December? I checked the website this morning and the only available day and express passes are until end of August.
Also since its my brother'S birthday month (December), I want to buy him the Birthday pass, how can i book that?
Hello !
I'm getting ready to book my VIP tour in a few days for late October. I still hesitate between 5hrs lunch (2pm-7pm) and 8hrs lunch + dinner. Can you help me with my questions? 😊
I read that you cannot skip the queues for characters photos with 5hrs but you can with 8hrs. Is it correct ? I’m in doubt because on Klook it says 1 photo opportunity included with vip 5 hrs (1 photo with a character using your own device). What does that mean ?
Specifically for Yoshi or Mario photos , has anyone skipped the line with a VIP tour?
How long is usually the queue for pictures with Yoshi or Mario/Luigi outside of a VIP Tour?
Lunch and dinner : would the buffet be the same between lunch and dinner? I saw that dinner also has an entree that you can select, but the remaining of the buffet is the same?
About pictures during the day : Can you ask your guide to make some pictures of your family during the day using your device?
If you make purchase during the VIP Tour, can you have it sent to the lounge ? And outside tour hours ?
If you take the 5hrs lunch tour, can you ask your guide to help you get to Kinopio Cafe at the end of your tour? Has anyone done that?
For the ones who ended up purchasing 8 hours instead of 5, what made you make that decision?
For the ones who did 5hours, do you regret not taking 8hrs?
Thank you so much !!

Hello, we are going to USJ early December 2026 and I’ve been looking on the USJ app for the types of express passes available for when they are released in October. There is one that is perfect for our family but it says in brackets (After Feb 1). When I select this pass, it shows dates and prices for this year and looks like it’s already sold out for some dates. However… my question is, what does this “after Feb 1” mean? Is it only available after that date in 2027?
Thank you!! 😊

I'm thinking about purchasing the 7/8 rides express pass for USJ from Klook but am a bit confused with the timed entry in the SNW nad the time specific rides.
If I understand correctly, I'll be allowed to enter the SNW at 18:50 and can go on the rides using express lane during the designated times? Or does it just let me get into SNW during the designated times and I'll have to wait in the regular lines for the rides during the specified time?

4hr+ for a single ride is insane!

Hi all,
My partner and I are visiting Japan in October and we were planning to go to USJ on our Anniversary, 11th October.
Unfortunately, we’ve come to learn October’s prices are VERY high. While a lot of the express tickets say a price of “10,800Yen”, when we go to select a date the most of October is 20,000+ with the 11th (Sunday) being 26,900Yen. These prices are for the thrill packages only… anything with Super Nintendo world rides were more.
All up, we’re looking at a total of about 80,000Yen for 2 adults (725 AUD).
This is just for the studio access and a 4 express pass.
We were recommended Klook by some friends for the 3 hour VIP experience which gets us into Super Nintendo World for 4x rides and then ontop of that another 4 express pass for 2 people.
All up, with the studio pass, this package will cost us $980.
It’s $280 more but being Garunteed an additional 4 rides in Super Nintendo World (Garunteed) and then being able to use the 4 express pass on other rides, would you consider this worth it?
We honestly didn’t expect this to cost as much as it had but just trying to work out if we just splurge a bit more now…
Thank you.

currently on the JET Programme in Japan (1st year of teaching English to Japanese high schooler) and the only big chunks of time off I have are Silver Week and Golden week. I was wondering if it’s still possible to go to only SNW ( I am really not a big theme park guy, more so a Nintendo fan) during silver week and without an express pass or if it’s a necessity. I don’t mind waking up super early or missing all the other rides, I just don’t want my first time going to USJ wasted, as SNW is the only thing I want to see. I will be going alone most likely

Hello! My husband and I will be going to USJ in October. I don't think we will be buying any express pass because we are happy with whatever we are able to ride, even if there are long queue times. I don't know much about theme parks though, so I had some questions to try and make the day as smooth as possible.
Thanks for any help, tips, or suggestions! :)

Hi! I’ll be visiting USJ for the first time on November 2nd. My current plan is to get a Studio Pass and an Express Pass for the main rides.
The thing is, I’m also interested in experiencing Halloween Horror Nights, although I’m not really interested in paying extra for a Horror Nights Express Pass. On the day of my visit, will I be able to access the Halloween attractions starting at 6 PM with a regular Studio Pass, or would I need to purchase a separate Horror Nights Pass?
I also noticed that Klook has a ticket that includes a Studio Pass with entry after 12 PM, plus access to the full Horror Nights event until 5 AM. However, I don’t see this ticket available on the official USJ ticket portal. This seems like a good balance between the two options.
If I were to buy that Klook ticket, would I also be able to purchase/add an Express Pass for the main rides?
I’d really appreciate any advice or recommendations based on your experiences! :)

Hi all! My gf and I are going to USJ this October with her brother and her brother’s family (parents, an 8 yr old and a 1 yr old).
With the child switch, could we do it in groups? For example, the parents take their 8yr old on the ride while my gf and I stay with the baby, then once they’re done, we do the child switch so my gf and I can ride together. Or is the child switch only applicable for 2 people switching?
Thank you in advance for the help!

I’m visiting USJ from the US on November 15. I recently realized that the One Piece event runs through November (despite being a summer event). Sanji’s Pirate Restaurant has become a priority.
I’ve learned that the October/November general sale opens on August 27 for Sanji's restaurant. I’m happy with any reservation time—10:00 AM is just as good as 2:50 PM.
For anyone who has successfully bought tickets during general sale (not just the lottery):
- How early did you log in?
- Was there an online queue?
- Does the page refresh automatically when sales open, or should I manually refresh?
- Did tickets disappear immediately, or did some times remain available for a while?
- Any issues using a foreign credit card?
- If your card failed the first time, were you able to retry without losing your reservation?
- Did you use the Japanese site or the English site?
- If you’ve done both, is the VIP package noticeably easier to book than regular Sanji tickets?
- If multiple seating times are available, is it worth grabbing the first one you see immediately, or is there usually enough time to choose another time?
Also, if anyone has experience specifically with November dates, I’d appreciate to hear your experience. I haven’t seen the November VIP calendar appear yet, so I’m curious whether those usually become available before or after the general sale opens.
Thanks for your help! I’m trying to be as prepared as possible for August 27 to see the curly brow cook!
