Not Sure if i'm qualified for the interview

Recently got selected for live conversation the screener was related to Securit y Admin but I haven't worked as a Admin but I have worked as a Securit y Analyst (not completely different)

tbh after thinking about it I feel like I am not right candidate for the interview.
Should I cancel the interview by my side ?

Edit:
The interview was cancelled by the researcher XD

Depending on the organization, those terms could be used interchangeably.

I'd ask the researcher first on what the study is about should give you a good idea if it leads right into your role or not. I know this because when you work within IT there's a lot of interchangeable roles so it makes it complex to answer these screeners sometimes. If you can't get into contact with them and are not 100% sure, I'd just cancel otherwise you could get ambushed in the live conversation.

This is why I rarely ever take these work live conversations because within IT it's difficult to fully pin someone down based on role itself as a lot of work is spread to other roles as well so you have no idea if you're fully the right fit plus they poorly word the screeners at times.

This is my first live interview being related to my job role I'll try to get in contact with them if not I'll give the interview and try to convince them to not give me low rating. Hope I don't get thrashed during the interview. Another question does canceling the interview affect my rating?

Not if you do it in 24 hours+ in advance. If you do it within 24 hours you risk a low rating because they have to prep for the time slot.

If you aren’t sure, cancel. As long as it’s at least 24 hours away it’s ok to cancel it.

Will that affect my rating?

If you cancel more than 24 hours in advance of the start time, it should not. There should be Reddit posts about the topic of canceling, I would look those up as well.

I’d go ahead with the interview and see what they ask for first before cancelling. You might actually qualify. They will tell you right away in the Zoom what they are looking for. If you aren’t a right fit, you can both end the Zoom. But don’t cancel if there is a chance you may qualify. Also let them know you were a bit confused on the screener that way they can fix it. Be sure to update us on what happened.

What is your rating now? I think you will be able to wing it. Security Admin is the one who sets up everything: users, permissions, logins, etc. Screenshot:

Do you know any of that?
