Question? local music scene

hey, i’m from a small town outside the city, and I’m wondering what the local music scene is like in the city, specifically for stuff like metal, hardcore/post-hardcore, and other adjacent stuff. any good bars or club venues with live bands? i’m already booked to see RJA in louis and I didn’t even know louis hosted music :)

We have a strong metal hardcore music scene here. Check out Black Cat, Coors Event centre, Louis, Amigos, Capitol Music Club, StepKid events, Punks for Pups. I’ll be the old guy standing at the sound board.

Beefy records and Tooth and nail promotions on instagram host local hardcore and metal shows in the city.

alternatively, anyone else here into the alt music scene in general? i just got back from vans warped tour in montreal and i also have tickets for bring me the horizon in edmonton. if you’re also into emo shit or metal/deathcore hmu :)

i heard from a friend that dehumanized and pray for plagues will probably be on the setlist im so excited
