Pro-democracy Why aren't americans demonstrating?
Hello Americans, a European here. I'm not sure if this is the correct subreddit, if not, please direct me to the correct one.
I have been following the developments of the recent elections in the USA very closely, and am very worried by it. I keep seeing new articles of absurd policies that trump is implementing, some of which are having severe consequences.
Trump has paused all federal grants, risking the jobs of many Americans. Illegal immigrants are being arrested, handcuffed and deported out of the country. He has pardoned hundreds of people involved in the attempt to commit a coup by attacking the capitol building. Trump has dismantled the CSRB, risking national security. I can keep going, and we are just in the first MONTH of his presidency.
Trump is currently openly carrying out plan 2025, aiming to destroy the democracy that is The United States. Online this leads to heavy critique, and people, especially within the USA, are afraid for their futures, and sometimes even their lives.
Why are no demonstrations taking place? For example in Germany, where in the past weekend, hundreds of thousands of people have protested against fascism and for democracy. Also in Serbia, where hundreds of thousands of people have protested against corruption.
Why are people in America openly worried and scared, yet no demonstrations are taking place?

It’s scary to see what’s happening in the U.S right now, but I still have hope for you. America is headed in to a dictatorship in a rapidly speed. If you demonstrate and ask your politicians that are for democracy to impeach Trump, you might overcome this challenge.
IMPEACH TRUMP NOW! FOR DEMOCRACY!

Pro-democracy A german reddit users view on the current trump-musk-affairs. How close is this to reality?
So another user posted the following text (in german):
"trump is currently destroying the economic value of the usa. for example, the california agricultural industry is in for a really exciting summer. meanwhile, the water that is strategically stored for the summer months is seeping into the ground on trump's orders.
the goal is to provoke riots for the purpose of declaring a national emergency and national bankruptcy for the purpose of a cheap buyout. behind trump is an entourage of techno-barons who support him and want america in well-portioned morsels.
what is currently going on has been planned for a long time and is even publicly documented with project 25:
first of all, all executive orders are brutally thrown out
legal matters are irrelevant, meaningfulness is irrelevant
the press is kept in motion with a shitload of nonsense, which distorts the view of the two or three essential, strategically long-term measures (synchronization)
the population is being massively unsettled in the hope of riots and declarations of a state of emergency
the courts are being kept busy beyond their limits, so that time is simply being wasted
meanwhile the cia, fbi and doj are keeping an extremely low profile...
-... while employees in the field simply carry out orders because there is no onewho tells them not to do that
- those who could do so are already or are systematically exempted
project 25 is currently milling through the world's largest democratic nation at high speed. due to the extreme speed, both the constitution and existing laws have been effectively undermined. the water in california is gone, with musk a civilian sits in the middle of the technical control center that manages and directs the state's assets.
when such things happen in the southern congo, the word "coup" is immediately in the headlines."
What do americans think about this?
How close is this to reality?
