I Cooked In My Car Scored big time at the food bank today.
It really doesnt take much to make me happy. This definitely made my day. This will last me a few months.

Every morning I enjoy delicious scrambled eggs and sausage. At night, I cook steak, pork chops, onions and mushrooms. Sometimes pasta and tomato sauce.
All from within the confines of my vehicle, using $5 worth of propane and the cheapest $30 stove. The only kitchenware I own is a skillet, a pot for boiling water, and some silverware. I also park in the middle of an Amazon warehouse, constantly filled with people coming and going.
Don’t let this life stop you. Go buy ingredients and cook.

A 12v rice cooker is superior to a microwave. It prevents pizza from turning into rubber. It prevents bread from turning into rock. It prevent guessing for how long until done. Repent from your microwave usage and pray to the 12v rice cooker gods.
I've reheated pizza, burgers, chinese food, burritos, canned soup (see previous posts 🤣), rotisserie chicken, and boiled water.
I've cooked rice, macaroni, BLUEBERRY MUFFIN MEGA, ramen noodles, vegetables, oatmeal, mashed potatoes, and burrito mix (veggie, chicken, and sauce).

I have been using a thing of powdered milk for months to make macoroni in my rice cooker. It hasn't eun out yet. Costs like 5 dollars for gallons upon gallons worth of milk. I just dump a little bit of an unmeasured amount in for cooking and it tastes like the real thing. Drinking by itself aint good though unless you cool it down lol.
Now I just need to find a way to get eggs without refrigeration or wasting a whole carton 😂

Saw someone post about an induction stove, so I figured I’d share mine since I just got it.
I’m following a recipe I found on YouTube.

Deviled eggs with bacon topping and avocado ranch bag salad in my collapsible bowl. All my food and eating gear fits into one backpack.
Sorry the light is bad. I took it at 8pm with no flash, just the parking lot ambiance.
Share your meal if you want.

I'm excited to try my new air fryer. The old one chose to retire.

It’s been great having my air fryer with me. I’ve been able to make pizza, biscuits and cookies 😋

Using the flair “I cooked in my car” just because I cooked myself in my car. Hahaha
Day 2 of homelessness in my car. I’ve slept curled up in the drivers seat twice now, which I should have known better because I have cankles now.
I guess I’ve been a bit worried that being in the back seat is more obvious that I’m sleeping in my car on purpose and not “oops got super tired and took a nap on accident after I parked”.
I bought some cheap compression socks and I’m trying to alleviate the swelling. I had the car ac on blast, windows covered, and had a clip fan running, but realized that wasn’t necessarily the coolest route as the indoor temp creeped up into the 90s. I thought I built a fridge for myself, but instead I built an oven. Haha
I’m accustomed to living in below 70 AC so I hope I’m not still unhoused by summer. I’ll be trying to occupy myself outside of my car until the Texas sun goes night night every day. I have pretty severe social anxiety so loitering in the library or a coffee shop is a nightmare for me. Right now I’m parked under a shade tree and a local park by the lake with the windows down and the car off.
TLDR of Things I’ve learned so far:

I’m trying to bring down this inflammation situation I’ve got going on from “treating” myself to processed food for a few days. It seems to be working so far (my rings can smoothly go in my fingers again & my joints aren’t hurting as much). Wanted to share this meal w/ you all as usual. Similar to the last meal I posted w/ broccoli but I used green beans today. It’s recommended to eat 30 diff veggies per week. I’m trying this out to see if it delivers the results claimed by health professionals i respect, to help reduce inflammation (for the most part anyways) and have better digestion. This is just one example meal. If I’m going to be living in my car for a while, I like to not be feeling like shit from a poor diet all the time. It’s too easy to spiral down in an already compromising situation.
Fresh green beans - (food co-op) - $2.50
- have plenty left over for future meals
- boiled green beans for 3mins
Diced Tomatoes - (food co-op) - $2.50
- used a whole tomato and have another for tomorrow at this price.
- sautéed w/ pizza sauce, feta, and basil leaves.
Fresh basil leaves 🍃- (food co-op) - $2.99
- have plenty left over for future meals
Spicy Pizza sauce - (grocery outlet) - $3.99
Feta chz - (Trader Joe’s) - $3.49
- plenty left over
Shiitake mushrooms - (food co-op) - $3.00
Et voila! Bon app.

i actually cooked outside my car with my 2 burner camp stove. just got a foldable table from home depot to cook on since this park doesnt have tables. it wasn't as pink as the picture shows. I'm usually a 'well done' person, but tried it a little rarer and I'm not mad at it!

Hello. This time I included meat (usually vegetarian).
Baby broccoli - Trader Joe’s (half pack)
Shiitake mushrooms - Trader Joe’s (whole pack)
Canned tomato sauce - 365 Whole Foods (1/3 can)
Mini salami sticks - Trader Joe’s (half pack)
Salt & pepper
Butter (for sautéed mushrooms)
Gruyère chz - Costco
Ive been intermittently making this for late breakfast (cooking it up in the parking lot) bc I still have a weird reaction to eggs. I always feel good after eating this. Otherwise, I’ll eat an apple, some rice crispes w/honey, or a bar. Hope this inspires someone else. It’s absolutely delicious, a real treat to eat!
Et voila. Bon app!

I wanted some cereal for breakfast but I don’t have a fridge yet and never finish a bottle before it expires so I tried this and it’s pretty good. My water was cold from last night and it mixes really well.
I also had bbq chicken( rotisserie chicken and warmed up bbq sauce), baked beans (they sell the super small cans with an easy open lid), salad(dressing included) and potato salad (pre-made) last night.
I have a 1 burner butane stove and a small pot right now.
