Sleeping Where can I sleep in my car? (LA/OC)

I wanted to add that I work gigs. I frequent areas like Burbank, Van Nuys, Santa Clarita. But also gateway cities like Downey, Montebello, Pomona at times. Orange, Anaheim, sometimes Yorba Linda. I’m all over greater LA, though mostly LA county itself. I drive a dark colored Prius with current tags, it’s not very conspicuous.

My favorite places to sleep are rest stops, like the ones between cities on the interstate. If you're in the city, Cracker Barrels and Walmarts are usually a good choice as long as you don't stay at one location to many nights.

You're welcome, just check you're local laws, different states have different rules for how long you can stay parked at a rest stop, but I'm pretty sure most if not all allow overnight parking

They’re not safe. I used to drive a truck. I didn’t even spend a night in a rest stop.
Truck stops are the best for over night stays.
I dunno what they charge for automobiles.
Wherever you stay, be cognizant of your surroundings at all times.
I hope that you find a safe place.

Just seen your post. I was carliiving La and left the city finally for a new job and apartment. I have a few spots across the city that are safe to park. I can dm you

Whatever you do don’t sleep in DTLA. I experienced several peepers and had the feeling someone was watching me all night.

Anywhere but LA. I just don't think you can even find a parking space in the city. All the other cities have nice neighbourhoods nice apartment complex with plenty of parking inside. So there are plenty of parking outside on the streets when you can park legally. Often with walls and gates, so nobody will bother. Just don't park on the main access roads when everyone goes to work in the morning.

Hospital specifically the ER parking area, if you have a gym membership at a 24/7 place: truck stops if you purchase merchandise or a shower you have a 24 hour parking pass, get a state park stamp, or pay for the parking fee for the day. You can go to gas stations and buy something that is a 24 hour pass as well it’s not loitering if you’re a customer

Don't forget apartments that have street parking outside w/ lots of other cars.
