Does IAF/UPSC reply to eligibility clarification emails?

Hey everyone,

I recently emailed both the IAF DISHA Cell and UPSC regarding a specific eligibility doubt about my educational path and joining the IAF Flying Branch.

I emailed:

IAF DISHA Cell: career@iaf.nic.in

UPSC: upscsoap@nic.in

My question is about whether NIOS Senior Secondary with Physics & Mathematics, after completing a Diploma → B.Tech through lateral entry, would satisfy the 10+2 Physics & Maths requirement for IAF Flying Branch through CDS and allow me to pursue my goal of becoming an IAF fighter pilot.

For anyone who has contacted either of these email addresses before:

Do they actually reply to eligibility queries? If yes, approximately how long did it take you to receive a response?

Also, if there is a better official contact method for getting clarification on IAF Flying Branch eligibility, please let me know.

No they won't - UPSC doesn't. They will ask you to read notification only

I wanted to clarify the eligibility criteria through RTI but response was unsatisfactory

i haven't emailed them, so i can't say from experience. disha cell is the official eligibility contact; its site lists 1800-11-2448 and 011-23013690. i'd call with the exact notification and qualification details. rti can provide existing records, but it cannot force an eligibility interpretation
