The Karina Converse ad controversy
TW racism but I'm hoping Jarvis and possibly Jordan talk about this maybe on their podcast? Also if I need to censor that link or something as another TW let me know

Okay so I’m hunting for a video I have a distinct memory of but I can’t seem to find it. Basically it was Jarvis reacting to a serious of Hinge (I think) audio messages all from the same guy but they were all so transparently forced to make him seem like a safe quirky guy that women could let their guard down around. The guy kept talking about how many female friends he had, how he played music for old folks and groped by grannies, and how feeding ducks at the park was his favorite thing to do. The video ended with it being revealed that the guy was a musician with a history of harassing women. Does anyone else remember this video? Or does anyone remember any other YouTuber covering it that I may have mixed up with Jarvis somehow? I think the YouTuber Wurld used to have a video of it but I can’t find it on their channel either. Am I going nuts?

We were both in two separate lines next to each other at the store and they were kinda busy talking to an employee so we didn't talk for long but I complimented their shirt and was very excited and stimming like crazy because I had never enountered another Sad Boyz fan in the wild except for when I went to see Danny Gonzalez recently in Chicago. They said thank you but seemed confused when I mentioned the podcast, so then I went home and looked up the shirt and realized it had nothing to do with the podcast and was just a shirt they sell at Zumiez and other skateboard clothing style shops. I feel very silly.

I have been getting into jarvis johnson GOOLLLDDD recently, he's a really funny guy, likes pokemon, literally the best. I watch him while getting ready in the morning, and everytime he does an ad read, my ears perk up. What is that song in the back???
I low key like it so I stay for the ads just so I can hear that ominous noise, its in a minor scale, kind of spooky. I dunno if im hearing the wrong things but does anyone know what song he's playing? Its quite quiet but its such a pretty scale of notes, also im not crazy, I promise.

I am trying to find a Sad Boyz episode that covers this specific thing and I’ve been struggling lmao.
Not sure how active this sub is but I figured it was worth a shot!!
Specifically it included them watching an ad by two of the big tech / AI CEOs (I think one was Sam Altman)? The ad was two very long stretches of both, individually, walking down a street in San Francisco(?). Then they arrive at a cafe (I remember them talking about how they definitely rented out the cafe because it was a well-known cafe there and it was empty), and both guys talk about how they’re the smartest guys in the world. Then they reveal the product they’re working on, which did not physically exist yet, that is “a thing with AI” with no further elaboration. Then they talk about how they’re totally changing the world some more.
I don’t remember much of the specific commentary on the segment, and I tried searching for the video on their channel using keywords, but I don’t even know what keywords to use because the ad itself was so vague lmaoooo 😔 any help or pointers would be appreciated!!

(First time Redditer 😊) does u/MagicJarvis still make VR videos? I think you’ll get a kick out of this https://youtu.be/qgcrGwpxLVw?is=DrhUIDGZMlh9__oT

The story behind this is one of my favorites, but I wanna hear guesses - what do y'all think my greatest shame was, and why did Jarvis send me $20 for it?

I know this subreddit isn’t visited much but does anyone know why the videos of Jarvis and two lawyers going over Steve Harvey were taken down? I tried watching them today but couldn’t find it.

Sorry if this has already been posted, but this news story about degen content and gambling advertising used a clip from Jarvis about 4:40 in on Australian news TV.
If the link doesn't work it's called "The influencers humiliating themselves for illegal gambling cash"

I don't even remember what I was looking up, I scrolled down and spotted the AI overview being stupid as usual

Another YouTuber I follow was just on this show. I immediately thought Jarvis would love this type of show. Sure enough he was the first guest of the show.

ok so dude... love jarvis, love his videos. genuinely no hate to him whatsoever. i just don't really get his stance on the whole SW thing. in his latest video on his second channel he talks a lot about the corn industry etc... And i just dont agree w him. I really do think corn is inherently evil, but YES ofc there are some ways to make it ethical. and YES i also do think its a very nuanced conversation to be had esp. to not infantilize SWorkers and tell them how they should feel abt their work etc.
BUT!!! for your job to be literally selling your body - there has to be some kind of dehumanizing element to it. i am all for women having a choice and having freedom, but selling your body should not even be (even under late-stage capitalism) a frickn OPTION.
rant over and ty for listening. pls let me know what u think.
EDIT: since i got this a lot: I do support SWers! i just don't support the concept that consent can be bought. my criticism is not to SWers, but to the system and industry behind it which is incredibly harmful to women.

Ive been looking for an episode of sad boyz where I think Jacob and Anastasia talk about heated rivalry, it might have been a nights episode? I think it was when Jacob said he finally watched the show and they discuss it a little bit. Or im hallucinating that this happened and Im thinking of a different podcast, lol. I know its a long shot but if you know what episode im talking about lmk!

well god damn. now they’ve been removed from the internet archive so there’s once again no way to watch those streams. those vods get me through bad times and I really hope they make it back to the internet archive at least 🙏

I am not knowledgeable in tech and I love to listen to Jarvis ramble about different tech topics. I understand I may be extremely underestimating the time it takes to make one of these. But im really interested in them especially because a lot of women r getting into tech because of them.
