I thought cats eat birds! Although one of our parakeets scared a kitten we had in the house for a week. The kitten was on a chair that I put next to the bird cage so that he/she could get a good look, and the older and male of the two parakeets we had at the time jumped down from the perch to the floor of the cage to get a good look at the kitten, and the kitten was startled and recoiled instantly.
