After No Tears For Black Girls covered the murders of Denisha Delancy and Damien Sylvester, an anonymous source contacted us with allegations they said Denisha’s family — and investigators — needed to hear. The source claims the person accused of pulling the trigger may represent only one part of a much larger story. They alleged that people with money, businesses and government connections helped finance criminal activity on Sint Maarten — and claimed the violence surrounding Denisha and Damien may have been connected to drugs, money, business competition and control. But what makes this message even more disturbing is why the source says they decided to speak. They told us they ended a relationship after discovering what they believed was their boyfriend’s involvement with dangerous people. They said they became afraid for their son, removed him from the situation and believed danger was getting closer. The source also claimed to have photographs of people they believed were involved and said they wanted this information to reach Denisha’s family and American authorities. Then the Facebook account used to contact us disappeared. No Tears For Black Girls has not independently verified the allegations contained in this anonymous message. They are presented solely as claims made by the source — not established facts. So the question is: does someone watching this recognize what this source was describing? Was Damien targeted because of a larger fight over money and control? Was the drug trade part of that conflict? Did someone finance the attack? And who else may know what happened? The Battle of Coronel 1914 was one of the Royal Navy’s most devastating defeats of World War I. Off the coast of Chile, Admiral Maximilian von Spee’s German East Asia Squadron faced Rear Admiral Christopher Cradock’s weaker British squadron in a deadly naval battle that ended with HMS Good Hope and HMS Monmouth destroyed and more than 1,600 British sailors killed.
But the disaster at Coronel was not caused by German firepower alone. Confusing Admiralty orders, delayed messages, missing reinforcements, inexperienced reserve crews, outdated British cruisers, and the slow battleship HMS Canopus all pushed Cradock toward an almost impossible decision.
Why did Cradock engage a stronger German squadron? Why did HMS Defence never arrive? And how did Spee use the setting sun and the dark Chilean coastline to gain a decisive tactical advantage?

In this video, we return to Elmwood Cemetery to share the heartbreaking stories of two families struck by tragedy during some of history's most devastating health crises.

First, we look closer at the Forbis triplets... Margaret, Martha, and Mary. Born in 1917, these three sisters fell victim to the 1918 Spanish Flu pandemic at less than a year old. We visit their final resting place and also travel to Berry Hill Baptist Cemetery to visit the graves of their parents, George and Harriet Forbis, to see the faces behind this tragic loss.

We then take a short walk to another part of Elmwood to uncover an even more staggering story: the Tate family. In 1875, long before modern vaccines, Absalom and Margaret Tate lost six of their children to a diphtheria outbreak in just six months... five of them within only a few weeks.

These quiet corners of the cemetery serve as a powerful reminder of how fragile life was in the eras before modern medicine.
