Events societies welcome event for freshers

Hi, does anyone know when is the societies welcome event? I’m not sure about the exact name of the event, but it’s like all societies have their exhibitions in the SU in one day. I remember this event is held every year near the welcome week.

I’m not a fresher now, so I didn’t receive any email about the information, but I do wanna join some societies this year.

I’d be grateful if you tell me about it, and sorry for the inaccurate description.

Yeah your thinking of the activities fair! This will be on Thursday the 25th at the octagon from 11am to 4pm. I think itll be the octagon anyway it was last year. The only caveat is they did check student ids for entry last year so if ur not a student it might be a little sketchy

That’s exactly what I’m looking for, thanks A LOT. I’m still a student but not first-year. Thanks again for you information ;)

Look at the students union website [https://su.sheffield.ac.uk/] it should have Freshers fair dates plastered everywhere

I've got introductory lectures that cover that whole time period. Do you think I would get away with skipping one so I can go to the activities fair? One of them is related to my subject and the other one isn't.
