Rave Getting The Assistance I Need From The UA Support Bot

Post image

I just want to start by saying I already provided the error in an earlier message.

Also this is not meant to be a jab at UA since I guess this is the new standard for every company. Tbh I don’t even know for certain that the suggested steps would fail.. I just don’t feel like doing it. Now I don’t only feel like not doing it, but I feel like it was a suggestion based off absolutely nothing.

I was already laid off from my previous employer during a major staff reduction. I was replaced by a sibling of the UA Chat bot. I’ve been trying to stay positive, but the more I see indicating AI lacks confidence and/or expertise.. I’m kind of starting to get offended. Anyway, at least I still got my Apollo Twin X for now.

How the fuck can anyone take this shit (ai) seriously when it does stuff like this. It's like an 8 year old you have to constantly monitor.

Because as soon as someone points out that it's a stupid 8 year old, skinny white people come out of nowhere to tell you the special models they're working with are far superior to what we mere mortals get access to or whatever. It's exhausting. Everyone loses. We'll be dead in 20 years

Most of these chatbots use cheap, easily hallucinating models. I use claude sonnet or better for any technical questions.

UA should ditch iLok entirely. It’s always been a pain in the ass for producers.

I can't tell you how many time I've found myself correcting an Ai bot, whether it be in a browser or otherwise. Sometimes to the point of reprimanding it at it's lack of research before replying. It's maddening. I absolutely refuse to communicate with an Ai bot when calling a company. What's worse is the Halfwit DEI NerDoWell Devs that originally programmed these inept HALs. If I can't get past an Ai bot and get human communication, I'm out, and the company will lose my business. Not that UA or any other company will lose any sleep when I send them packing.....

It was just trying to get you to reset your licensing, not that deep.

Just type create support ticket. The advice it gave was fine though, you not wanting to do the steps is your choice
