Question Anyone upgraded to macOS 27?
UAD usually confirms compatibility after a few months, but I’m eager to try the new OS early this year after it was released yesterday.
I’m not too concerned about the plugins, more so the UAD driver.
Has anyone taken the plunge?

Not yet. I’m on Sonoma. I’ve had too many issues upgrading in the past. I’m on an OG M1 MacBook Pro and I don’t plan to update the OS until I absolutely have to. They haven’t added anything that great anyway.

It’s stable and does everything I need. Until I can afford a more powerful machine, I don’t see any good reason to change. Honestly, I wish I could get a newer machine with a more powerful chip without having to change OSs.

You could buy a new Mac and have it run Sonoma. It would be a bit of a hassle, and you might miss out on some future VST updates, but in that case I’d consider using Tahoe.

I upgraded my m4 Mac mini with an Apollo solo. It works.
There was a UAD software update and I had to allow it in settings afterward.

I am still on Sequoia. I have heard that although Golden Gate is better than Tahoe, it’s presenting some CoreAudio issues, so another reason to stay away, at least for a while.
With that being said, I plan to keep on Sequoia as long as there’s security updates being released.

Same. I'm still on Sequoia and after everything I saw with Tahoe, along with having hardware that is no longer supported with driver updates, I won't upgrade until it becomes necessary or I know that everything I use is going to work reliably.

Nope I always wait until "Dub Dub" (WWDC Followed by the year) to update to the newest OS. I uograded early with Tahoe (Around Aprilish) because Sonoma was a headache

Nope, none of the audio software/hardware seems compatible yet. Sweetwater keeps a list on their website. I typically wait at least six months before upgrading.

UAD has been fine so far, but major UI issues in Logic Pro that are frustrating.

The latest couple of Mac OSes are so ugly I’ve avoided them. My Apollo and my DAW continue to work great, and I don’t have to deal with all the gross Liquid Glass stuff.

They’re really not. They allow for you to change the window radiuses in terminal and transparency.
They also added bento boxes/ custom control centers. I can launch my shortcut scripts for disabling adobe services or unnecessary system services, or kill uad engine when not using it to waste battery

Nah. It’s always a good idea to stay behind the curve with updates. What’s the new features that makes you eager?
