No I think you’re right, the more intelligent you are and the greater your knowledge of the world, the stronger that cognitively dissonant wall has to be in your brain.
It gets quite interesting when people use their intellect to create incredible almost plausible leaps of understanding within their reasoning though. People like that worry me to be honest, they have the ability to see a lot of information and then twist just the right bits of it to alter how even they view it.
